I wish there was a happy medium, but socialism would be better than this crap If no other choice.

Good time of the week and month today absent passive index buying intervals during globex and this PM to short NQ futures.

The equity index futures will be rolling to the December contract tomorrow and Monday into the FOMC next Wednesday with triple witch following on Friday 2 days later.

It will be interesting to see how the weekly options play out tomorrow to protect the institutional writers at strike levels

Pretty soon Trump will sign an EO forcing petrol stations to start selling fuel by the 1/2 gallon.

Only half kidding.🤣
little astride from you post, but what gets me is that he doesn't seem to care. Without this war, we'd really be "off to the races" economically...and we've got a lot of people who really don't need higher prices...

100% agree Ned. If he had just acted like a normal president and not a wannabe mob boss, his own and his party's ratings would be high. But with the tariffs and war driving down the economy, he has sabotaged his presidency and the GOP's hold on the majority in Congress.
The amazing thing to me is that not one Republican has the courage to step up and challenge him. They seem content to go down with the ship.

I think you're right...I look at what might have been..we were doing well before this Iran debacle..and now we are burdened by what has happened.

Market crushing higher this morning. After trading down all day Friday it actually closed the day higher on a late day surge.

This mo ring oil futures are off and the market is up a little over .50%

Seems like the market shook off that Intrest rate hike with no problem.

Just need oil to take a nosedive here in the next month and the dems won’t have anything left to cry about.

Earnings season right around the corner and it’s obvious it will be a very strong earnings season.

This will set up nicely for Pubs going into midterms

Market is still very undervalued in my humble opinion. Even after this mornings rally we are trading around a 19 p/e and that is just too cheap to where the market has been trading the last few years (closer to 21 p/e).

On an earnings basis, the market is cheaper than at any point in the last 3 years. Buy assets.

Trump and his insiders are making money hand over fist. They don't give a **** about the Constitution, the country, the GOP, or the people. This isn't news. People paying even the slightest attention were saying this in 2016.

The Republicans hang on because they value power over everything. They don't even have a plan on how to use that power beyond enriching the wealthy, but they still refuse to let it go. They have nowhere to turn if Trump goes down. They have no agenda to run on - their campaigns are "I'm with Trump" and they don't care what he does as long as being seen as on his side gets them elected.

Trump isn't the problem. The congressional GOP isn't the problem. Seventy million+ Americans looked at Trump and voted for him and more voted for his spineless representatives and senators with the full understanding that their only qualification was they supported Donald Trump.

We are a profoundly, perhaps irredeemably, stupid country.

Dude, the Democrat candidate was Kamala Harris. Perhaps look in the mirror.

Good stuff.

NEWS There is now a broad-based acceleration in U.S. business activity, the highest in five years and it’s not just a manufacturing bounce. U.S. manufacturing PMI expanded sharply and unexpectedly to 57.0 vs 53.6 estimated. This is the strongest manufacturing reading in roughly five years. And services sector activity jumped unexpectedly this month too, to 58.7 vs 56.0 estimate, according to S&P Global. That’s a 59-month high, also the highest in nearly five years.

Services are the largest part of the U.S. economy, so this is particularly significant.

Composite PMI at 58.4 combining manufacturing and services is the strongest U.S. business-activity reading in more than five years.

The numbers indicate that demand and output are accelerating across both goods-producing and service businesses, rather than the economy being carried by one sector.

The data also underscores the Atlanta Fed GDPNow model already pointing toward stronger 5.1% third-quarter economic growth. #BreakingNews #BREAKING #news #breaking @x @EveningEdit @FoxBusiness @FoxNews @AP @Reuters @WSJ @nytimes @CBSNews @abc @NBCNews

5% 10 yr treasury on 40 Trillion adds 2 T of debt. This administration is having a spending spree blast with our treasury. Talk about spending those hard earned tax dollars.

dadar you're really intelligent with finance. But remember when we had all those years of 0% rates....we knew there would be a reckonning....yep trump is not a fiscal conservative...but all 40 trillion was not accumulated during his presidencies. If we want to call him out, we need to call out all who have played a role to include the congresses..
I posted yesterday, which candidate for office this cycle are running on a platform - with a plan- to reduce the deficits? Certainly not the Republicans, and I read yesterday the democrat's plans to spend more on healthcare, and other social programs...so not them either.

As a country, we haven't yet gotten serious about the deficits and they will keep rising until someone makes it a priority. Clearly other than Rand Paul there aren't many

At least we are getting growth from it. Don't leave out that part of the story or you will still be short those NQ's. Hopefully you covered, been straight up since you posted going short.
