When they got Wiscionsin on the ropes they knocked them out. When we gut them in the ropes we jabbed and let them get their second wind.
All our players fault?? OK...Originally posted by AirRaidFan:

Maybe. But if it'd been Puke in our situation... SOMEHOW the refs would've found a foul for a bailout before the shot clock expired.Originally posted by AirRaidFan:

Willies vacation day didn't help UK. That and stall ball was killersOriginally posted by #1Wildcatfan4life:
We had a couple of players that failed to show up and it hurt us.
This is incredibly stupid. Cal was trying to force the ball inside like he had been doing since the elite eight. It wasn't there, and he just kept on. If he had let our team run, and push Wisconsin into a faster tempo, not allowing them to set and allowing the Harrisons to create, we would have went ahead by 8 or 9 in 2 minutes. I love Cal, but the ignorance of some around here, damn. wake up. Cals floor coaching and big game preparations need an adjustment. do you really need to see 7 or 8 final fours end in losses before you figure this out?Originally posted by Starship Seven:
Say what you want about the refs but it really does come down to those three shot-clock violations. We score two of those three trips and we win. Its not on Cal, its not on the refs, its completely on the players not scoring.

Night night. Put your Cal jammies on .Originally posted by Starship Seven:

Uhh it's kinda easy to put teams away when you know the refs are going to cover for you! The out-of-bounds call that replay showed CLEARLY went off Duke - Duke ball. What?! Or the Winslow foot-on-the-line-and-travel-for-good-measure play where they scored two in the final minutes? Two points for Duke! It's just too easy to see through this sham.
NO scouting is completely inexcusable. They were not prepared, and it showed.Originally posted by HoopsDavid:
Willie did not show up a lot of nights. That and no scouting. Anyone notice how many of the same spin moves Frank pulled off on Sat. U take away that First! Willie probably never knew it was his go to move.

We didn't come with a game plan to push and attack. Thats not on the players homes.

And there it is. Coach K made the adjustments needed to get it done. He made 3 big time adjustments in the season that ended in their success. Cal kept trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.Originally posted by 5iveStarRecruit:

Like, even during the season i was begging for floor spacing lineups, I've just gotten tot the point of acceptance. Cal is old school and will likely keep running this brand of offensive basketball.
Duke doesn't win the title if Coach K didn't make an adjustment midseason by benching Amile Jefferson for Justice Winslow at PF & putting Matt Jones at SF to maximize the floor spacing.
It's difficult to explain to someone who glosses over the details of a game and follows the media narrative, so I wouldn't expect you to understand or have much to say, but how about at least trying? You can do it!Originally posted by ednunn:
Your posts reflect the same attude as our last 4 minutes of play Saturday. Scared , whiney and full of excuses

The floor spacing was an issue all year. As Ive said Im an assistant coach for a high school basketball team in memphis. I watched the UK game with a coach for Martin. He couldn't believe how poorly our offense was being ran. there was so much time to adjust, and he didn't. I think Son of Saul said it best last night( and if he reads this I apologize for going off on ya), Cal has things he's not going to change. Ive followed his career very close since his days here in memphis. He will not ever change. You take the good with the bad with cal.
My question is? why?
Floor spacing only works if you have multiple shooters on the floor simultaneously....We don't have thatOriginally posted by 5iveStarRecruit:

But it's way too easy for many on this board who don't know a lot about basketball other than watching, to blame the referees.Originally posted by .S&C.:
