Justice won!!

I bet Colorado drops it and we move on to another battlefront in the great Cake War.
Honestly, this was a scenario where the Constitution was going to fail someone. Both sides had ironclad arguments.

And it was one of those scenario's where people didn't have to be pricks.

The fact that this wound up in front of SCOTUS.... wow....

It's been a few years since I have studied Constitutional law, but did they gays really have that ironclad of an argument? Actually, I admit I know nothing and would rather just side with private business.

Should have never went to court to begin with. Very simple solution. Take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other non-bigoted bakeries that would have been very happy to take their money. Courts should have never been involved. The gay couple just wanted attention.

Because you really have a strong hatred for a particular group of people and like being a dick.
You guys don't know me at all. Just like I don't know any of you. I do not hate any group of people. I am something of a dick at times, though.[cheers]

I wasn't saying YOU, personally. You asked a hypothetical question as to why SOMEONE would deny making a profit. I responded to your hypothetical question as to why SOMEONE would.....THAT PERSON hates a group of people more than making a buck.

I guess all the liberals hate people who think there should be no free lunch. Who think there should be a work ethic and not free phones for your vote. Or welfare for your vote.
You do realize that Coop took the conservative stance on this, correct? He said he favored the rights of private business.

Don't have to hate because you disagree.

I just don't understand it. Even when all the crap was going on about HIV and guys didn't want to see HIV positive people, I never thought twice about it. He could have put a premium price on it and the people might have gone elsewhere. Problem solved.

Wow....the baker didn't go looking for the gay couple , the baker didn't go to the courts or the news paper ...it wasn't like what whites did to blacks back in the day , they would bake them all the cup cakes they wanted, just wouldn't bake a wedding cake ...

Discrimination in pricing will get you *** into more legal trouble than you can get out of overnight. Need another tactic.

What kind of triggered snowflake you got to be to not bake a cake?

“You just can’t use this water fountain that says whites only! Hey there’s a perfectly good one right there that says coloreds.”

FOH with that ********.

To your first question, it’s a cake baker. Not exactly of the warrior culture.

Your example, you’re fine trampling this person’s religious liberty? The baker is as entitled to that protection as the gay couple is from discrimination. I’m guessing that because they could go to another baker one has to side with the person who would be most aggrieved, which would be the baker in this case.

Personally, this was one where it was impossible to rule without violating something. Andddd shocker, another split court.

Since was a specialty cake, why not special pricing.
That makes a little sense to me, but the government is who you have to convince. The one time I had an argument on principle, the government lawyers were smart assed and asked me if I could afford legal expense to argue with tax paid lawyers. My answer was hell no. I cannot answer for you and your ability to feed lawyers.

What could they do to the bakers if they just made it ugly & taste like sh$t.
Ask for a refund ? There is no constitutional guarantee to be satisfied with a purchase

But you told us not to judge others! Which is it?

I told you what?

But sure...let’s play this game.

Compare/contrast a gay couple getting married and wanting a cake made and trump’s stance on this hallowed institution.

And now which one has your vote.

I can't compare, they aren't equivalent. The gay couple can get married and get a cake from wherever else they want. I'm not baking them one either. That doesn't mean I judge them.

Bill got his rocks off in the Oval Office. Hallowed institution?

Last time I checked the baker wasn’t going to have to bang one of the grooms.

Which act shows that you are more in approval of a person: voting them into office or baking a fcking cake

lol

Like I said, that ship sailed friends. Time to find another justification for your bigotry. Religion is a non starter.

Talking about marriage.

And you wouldn’t bake them a cake (assuming you were a baker with a business) but you will vote for trump.

Gotcha. We see how deep those convictions run.

What is the comparison? Never heard anyone accusing Trump of sucking. With his money, I would have had lovely ladies standing in line to get to *** me, but suck a joint is outside sex for most men -me.
