Subway is too healthy. He’s more of a Big Mac guy.

Subway is the by far the worst fast food chain you can eat at. The amount of sugar in their bread and the added sodium makes a Big Mac look healthy.

Stop trying to take away delicious stuff. Sugar is good. That’s why it’s called sugar!

Subway too healthy........what world do you live in?
Subway meats are overly processed trash....fillers, additives and preservatives....... while McDonalds patties are 100% beef....nothing added....no fillers, no additives, no preservatives.
Subway food is trash.

How much time do you have? Jersey Mikes was good in 2000 and it changed into whatever it is today.

I had it for lunch two days ago...I'm not much of a sub guy but my wife and daughters think the Tuna Salad is the bomb. I never liked Subway and after my daughter educated me from her nutrition professor...I have not eaten it again....and I'm not into healthy food.

Between Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns, Firehouse and Subway...my personal choice is Jersey Mikes... and with food, everything is a personal choice.

Firehouse immediately comes to mind. McCalister’s and Schlotzky’s are two more but they’re probably more like a Panera. Firehouse for sure.

You can add Jason's deli in there but I agree, they are more like Panara. Schlotzky's is on par with sub places...

My personal ranking of those 4:

1. Jersey Mike's
2. Firehouse
3. Subway
4. Jimmy John's.

Back in the day, Spruce Street Sub Shop made a fantastic ham & cheese sub.

I liked Jersey Mikes when they first came to Charlotte 20 years ago. They have changed their whole deal since and i would rather have Firehouse or Subway.

Jersey Mikes here in Charles Town is up and down...sometimes good...sometimes not so good.
Jimmy Johns is the most consist and I think the best for quality and value.

Any of you characters have Penn Station in your area ?? I myself still consider them the best of the chains, though I also enjoy Jersey Mike's, Firehouse, and a couple others.

Jimmy Johns has the delivery market cornered. This much is for sure.

Penn Station is good. I’d put them up there with Firehouse.

I'm much more likely to buy a sub from an independent restaurant instead of a chain. But out of the chains I would probably have to go with Firehouse.

There is one in Morgantown now. I had it delivered and it wasnt good but honestly I would try it again because ordering a hot sub and having doordash deliver it probably didnt do the sandwich justice.

Drew Brees is a big...big....Jimmy Johns fan as well as an owner of several Jimmy Johns.. He and I both have the No. 9 Italian Night Club as our favorite....that is also why he picked 9 as his uniform number...true story.

Not sure where you live, but here in Atlanta, it's Publix subs and it ain't even close.

We started going to going Jersey Mikes in NJ...as a quick meal after going to the gym or shopping. If you get away from the chains, there are lots of places in NJ, NYC and Philly that is at a different level. Primo Subs is better than Jersey Mikes, but they are a local chain...I was focused on National Chains as we have moved to Morgantown now and the pickings are slim...it's chain or bust-there is a place on the mile ground that is decent but thats about all we have found.

There used to be little places scattered all over the Morgantown area for various specialty stuff. You only have to eat at the chains if you want to.

I rarely go to chains. Covid is putting a hurting on local businesses and it's just not fun to go out. We take our cooking seriously and we can make better food at home then we can usually find going out. We go out for experience, not the food. The exception is Chinese and some Mexican. Fish is about the only thing I don't like to cook and will go out to eat.
