Could have played Mulder, but he was getting roasted on the defensive end. Our players just couldn't make a basket tonight. It happens.

Come March we will ALWAYS be the home team.

Wow. I just don't see what some people see. Blame Cal? He put the players in position to make shots. They didn't tonight. Missed way too many shots. Freshman some times play like freshman. Today was one of those games. Oh well.

we lost because we missed open looks that Willis, Monk, and Mulder all got.

we lost because we missed 10 Free throw.
Mulder? I thought he was 2 for 3 from three point land. Did I miss something? Seriously, not intending to bash you. Maybe I was wrong.

I thought Cal made a bad move in the first half when he subbed while we were making a run. Totally took our momentum away. But that's no excuse for us playing into their hands and letting them dictate the pace, missing free throws, still terrible at ball screen defense, and not hustling after rebounds. Louisville wanted it more than us. They hit shots and played bettter defense.

The problem I have with Cal is this switch every ball screen crap. It burnt us again in the last minute when Bam got caught. Good coaches continually exploit this and this year it really is burning us because our defense is bad enough when our guys have to gaurd their regular man much less anyone that is a mismatch for them.

he shot well. I'm not denying it. I'm just saying out of all the missed 3, one was from Mulder. I'm not attacking him. He just missed open looks.

Our offense should of scored additional 15 points easy tonight.

Look Monk is selfish...He simply doesn't want to do anything but jack shots...The two loose balls he didn't even fight was pathetic

Even with that and losing all 3 shooting stats had a chance to tie

How the hell is Cal to blame? We played like **** and got beat.

Did you not watch Malik Monk tonight? He had to be a 15 point negative. The kids a frosh and played like one which is fine. It's the coaches job to sit his butt on the bench when he does.

Cal better scrub the switching defense during Camp Cal. It has been abused all year. How many games are we going to have guards blowing by our bigs and bigs getting rebounds and shooting over our guards? This team can't play it. Hopefully we get a tweak where bigs stay on bigs, and guards fight through screens and stay on guards. Oh yeah, and guard the damn 3 point line.

We just shot badly tonight but eventually you start taking the ball to the rack. We've got to get the ball to Bam more. I really don't understand why Cal won't play Bam and Hump together. I think it would help both of them offensively. Hump didn't even play in the 2nd half.

Mulder can't make 3"s from the bench. Hit 2 of 3 and couldn't even make it onto the floor when we needed a 3 to go to OT. Pathetic coaching. Definitely reminiscent of Wisconsin game when our best chance to win was on the bench.

i love the man and wouldn't want any other coach. However, he is going to play "his" guys come he'll or high water. I will never understand leaving your best chances to win on the bench.

I blame scheduling more than anything else,Cats have always had a week in between big games in the past to prepare, but this year it was scheduled earlier and 4 days after a huge game with UNC.Cats had somewhat of a letdown after the UNC game,

Brad definitely would have helped, you're right.

When Monk, Briscoe and Willis are virtually non-existent, while Wenyen isn't a scorer, you're really going to struggle against anyone.

Do you want him to sit all of them? Briscoe is easily the worst of the bunch on the team, everytime he shoots it I just know it's not going in, fouling him is almost the same as a turnover. Monk had a bad game, we lost, ***** embarrassing to lose to the tards but oh well, we'll be fine.

Bam was exhausted and asking to come out of the game. I wasn't surprised he missed the ft"s. He was gassed. Cal could have played Hump for a few minutes to give Bam a breather.

I don't think Hump should ever see the floor. Practice player only.

Booker and Ulis were abused on defense again and again in that game. Our best chance to win was Karl Anthony Towns and he was on the floor. You also didn't mention the atrocious call that most likely cost UK the game with the non-shot clock violation with 2 mins to go that allowed Wisconsin to tie the game up. If not for that UK hangs on and people like you cannot ***** and moan about revisionist history.

Knee jerk uneducated response. He must use his players, how else are they going to get experience. Good thing you are not the coach, we would have lost by 20 plus.

Cal's UK teams are now 2-6 in their first road games. As long as he is our coach that's not going to change. it's also another reason why he likes playing neutral site games.
UK lost any chance at a #1 seed with this loss. The two best possible wins remaining on the schedule are vs. Kansas and Florida. Even winning both of those wouldn't be enough. Probably end up a #2 or #3 seed.

Only thing I will say about Cal..he needs to get back to recruiting for basic needs..a great hard nosed lock down defender like MKG, a rim protector like AD or Terrence Jones or WCS, great shooters like Knight or Lamb or Young, or a beast skilled offensive player and rebounder and defender like Randle or KAT or Cousins. Fit real needs..not just get or or go after the highest rated players because they're so highly rated or basing it off pure athleticism and then having to mesh them all together..like he's done the last two years. Last year's team really didn't have defensive chemistry or basic defensive skills...same as this year. Poor rebounding last year..same as this year.
