Nebraska is not going to get a big name. Accept that fact and you will sleep better.

Of all Power Five programs, Nebraska is the worst geographically for recruiting. The state produces very few elite recruits, and surrounding states Wyoming, South Dakota, and North Dakota do even worse. Geographically there are no other Power Five programs farther from recruiting hotbeds Florida, Texas, California, and Georgia. The state is known for cows and corn, and is about as sexy as a tub of cottage cheese.

The best they can do is hire a young, extremely talented nobody and let him build a program. Give him all of the money he needs to hire a good staff who can recruit. Basically, a Scott Frost, only with talent and ability.

So NU is in in lamest division. Which means it is easy to win the west.

This job is literally a the "how to" win a division with ease job.

If the coach’s name was anything other than Scott Frost, would firing him even be a question at this point?

And the excuse of “who would we be able to get?” is absolutely ridiculous. Strong paying coaching salary, will be top notch facilities, huge fan buy-in, very win-able division.

Because we are a bottom feeder program that cannot get a sniff from a current successful D-1 coach. Trev might need a little more time to research the smaller programs to see if we can find a diamond in the rough and let that buyout diminish.

Not buying tickets is what we can do. I haven't for 2 years.

And I agree! If the product on the field stinks then why go to the stadium. I haven’t gone to a game in years. It is hard for me to undo the passion since I’ve been following as a kid. I keep tuning in when they are on hoping they’ll turn the corner. Unfortunately as a coaching staff and as a team, they just don’t know how to win. As a fan there isn’t anything I can do to help with that is what I mean.
