There was a grocery store in SW PA called Riverside, they used to have these awesome subs called Riverboats. So good.
Took my dear grandmother Rose to Riverside every Thursday for a long time. Loved the Riverboats!
Lots of great stuff like that in that area back in the day.
There was a department store named Hill's that had the best popcorn. And K-mart in Altoona had the best hogies I've eaten to this very day.
Ahhh, the good old days.
Anyway, I thought the fight was over gob vs. whoopy pie. Personally I refuse to eat anything with the word whoopy in it, but I can knock down some gobs!

Anyway, this popped up on my screen while reading some of the posts on the Mac board and thought it interesting to persons previously from the Valley.
My friends and I would travel with our bikes about three miles to Forty Fort Ice Cream for a Pig's Dinner severed in a wooden trough, loaded w/bananas, ice cream, and toppings.
