Hate to bump my own post but does anyone know the answer?
I saw the play you’re referring to. I suppose it could have been reviewed for targeting, but I don’t think it would have resulted in a penalty. If you call that block targeting, you’re going to have to call it about 15 times per game.

Is targeting only something the defense is flagged for?

Ryan Day and CO doing what they do.

Win or lose? I think people need to recognize Ryan Day as a average coach.

He has the most money, the greatest roster and the best assistance around him. He should look like a great coach.

I'll be honest, I'm rooting for Ohio State. I used to like Texas. Loved it when I moved here. But then the Big 12. Never forget. Go buckeyes!

Ohio state just has no ability to be patient and take what the defense gives them. They’re insisting on trying to hit big plays. They’ll find some stuff that works, then try to hit a big one over the top and stall out. Just dumb and stubborn.

These semifinal games are sure making up for what was mostly a lackluster playoff until now

Again, a lot like Penn State last night. They should have rushed for 300 yards.

I just don't think they're very good up front.

Going by the definition of targeting in the rule book, it should be targeting. I saw that too. I've never seen targeting called on an offensive player. I've often seen a defensive player come in low for a tackle and the running back ducks his head to go helmet to helmet. I've yet to see that called targeting.

Howard is a Mess at the moment. He’d better get his head right or they are going to lose.

Chip Kelly isn't calling the game like he's been doing the last couple of games. He's outsmarting himself. Not running the ball or using the counter

They’re gonna live and die with the deep ball. Really stupid tonight. But that’s what they’re doing

Count on Chip Kelly to outsmart Chip Kelly in critical games and you'll never be disappointed.
