This is a graphic that you don't want to be low on... It looks like Texas is sucking hind tit. I know of a dozen people in my town that are symptomatic and still can't get tested. Mississippi is slightly over 100 tests per 100,0000 residents. Iowa is at 125 for glfr. I linked the spreadsheet where you can run your state's numbers. Just divide total tests by population and multiply that number by 100k.

My county is really dropping the ball. A little over a million residents. 88 positive tests. 355 negative. So we have a 20% positive rate which is pretty high... Yet we have only test 42 people per 100,000... Election time will be a reckoning for some local politicians.

National average is 191/100k and 15% positive test rate.

Abbott has developed a rapid test similar to their flu and strep tests that will give results in five minutes. They are working on pushing out 50,000 test a day starting next week. This will be a game changer. The biggest issue with this virus is the lag time between exposure and symptoms/test results. We’ve solved that issue now. Between the rapid tests and potential treatment options, the end of a quarantine is in sight. Y’all can save the doom and gloom for the real apocalypse now.

Testing has been the key all along. It should have started 2 months ago. But a lot of people dropped the ball.

My issue is why the 3rd most populous state in the country and in particular my county which is part of the 4th largest metro , tests less than anyone. We have over a million people, 15% if which are Asian, many of whom were out of the country for Spring Break... Our positive rates are higher than average and our testing rates are lower than just about anywhere.

Now go get your guns and wait for the Boogeyman to come get you. Just so you know, the real apocalypse is very likely to be a pandemic disease. Just not this one.
