Not blazing but not bad. Could be a special teams gunner as a freshmanIs that fast? What's his speed like?

Interesting. Diamond in the rough, reach or struggling with finding DB’s?
At first glance it seems like a bit of a reach, but could be a late bloomer that hasn't hit up any camps to get his name out there.
Sounded to me like this kid is an example of the staff knowing this area well and the staff having confidence in their own evaluations rather than waiting for other schools to offer and just go off of that. And he was starting to get a lot more interest so the staff wanted a commitment from him early, thus the official visit this summer. If you're confident in your evaluation, it's better to lock him up early if you feel that it's likely that the kid will garner a lot more interest in the fall.At first glance it seems like a bit of a reach, but could be a late bloomer that hasn't hit up any camps to get his name out there.
Staff clearly has read the thread about lack of commits and responded
Good luck with this one. Not even rated.

Dicap ended up a 5.5 3*, but the kid has some wheels. Sub 11 100 and sub 22 200. Lynum must be a kid Fisher liked enough to lock him up early.Dicaprio Bootle was a 2-star recruit when he committed to Nebraska. A 2-star is worse than a kid who isn’t rated. And Bootle will play on sundays. He’s a helluva a CB. Arguably Riley’s best recruiting work was on Bootle. Yes he landed better commits but Bootle wasn’t a crystal clear land. Finding Bootle is about the only high Praise I have for Riley.
But all the same negative things you can say about this kid, we said about Bootle. Diamonds in the ruff aren’t suppose to happen in Miami or Orlando. These kids are well exposed to coaching staffs, recruiting gurus, etc. but guess what? They happen. All the time. I will say Bootle had/has better speed then this kid but still not worried about it.
Couldnt agree more.. kid I for one will be rooting for throughout thats for sure!! Welcome aboard young man!!!Do yourself a favor and click on and read the article attached to my post above, much information and background within. Just sayin, if you want another crowd favorite.....big ups!
I wouldn’t worry about initial rankings.
This time a year ago a Safety named Kyle Hamilton was a LOW 3 Star, almost a 2 Star on Rivals. On signing day he was a 5 Star & #1 ranked Safety in the country (15th overall) by another service. (High 4 Star by Rivals).
weird, it's almost as if things change quickly with 16-17yr olds.. who'd have thought!
Yeah, you have to trust your own coaching staff’s ability to evaluate talent.
He should also have offers from about 10 other P5 schoolshe'll have at least 3 stars by week's end
rivals rankings aren't the end all be all. lots of kids out there to evaluate, this here website doesn't employ thousands of dorks with clipboards
I trust our staff to evaluate much more than the clouses and callahans of the world
