Cal doesn't want to run an actual half court offense. So they need to get most of their points in transition or before the defense is set. You run even a talented team like that all season and it takes their legs come tournament time. This is Cal ball.in a nutshell. May take a few years, but arky fans will learn this the hard way. You get so enamored with the talent he brings in yearly, that most overlook his atrociously lazy coaching.

They can’t stop a team who has equal talent. That’s what always make me so furious. We had the talent to defend and since 2019 he hasn’t gotten teams to defend. They(Zona)are playing beautiful passing basketball, but they can’t even pressure two misses in a row.
