Travis Ford or John Pelphrey should be our next coach. Fire Calipari immediately and hire one of those guys.
For real though Wright has built some great teams and went on a nice run but it shows even as great as he is they managed a whopping 51 points. It’s hard to win a title.
Nice halftime adjustment by Scott Drew. Probably told his guards to drive it and quit shooting so many contested threes. Also turned up the already good defense a notch or two. Can Arkansas stay in the game against Baylor if they can get past ORU?
No pumping. Jay Wright won in a short span when everyone was losing young players to early entry & he was keeping 4 year guys. He is not keeping them now. Before that & after that Jay has always had good regular seasons & early tourney exits.

The greatest just got his *** handed to him. He’s a fine coach but basing greatest ever on a half of basketball in the sweet 16 is pretty comical.
He lost three starters. If we lost someone like Colin Gillespie late in the year we would not have a backup. Cal does not believe in backup point guards.
He was missing his starting point guard and co-captain so there’s that.

Jay Wright has always had good teams but terrible tournament success. The 2 years he won was due to everyone losing talent to early entries while Jay was having 4 year guys. Since he has started losing guys early he has reverted to what he has always been.

Cal has more overall tournament success. However, Wright has more hardware. Would trade other two final fours for another title.

Bruh I just want teams like Jay Wright has IDC if he's our new coach. That is the direction I wish UK basketball was heading in. Not this stupid 1 n done bs where you can't even get the top 5 players
I swear that when Cal leaves UK some of the posters will leave and support his new team.
In the end, it's not really just offense or just defense. The teams that win in March have a combination of both.
