I live close to Nashville but still haven't attended the tournament. Every yr Uncle Sam has had plans for me. It is possible for me to go Friday night, but at $180 on stub hub is steep. So if anyone has an extra I'll take it :pray::pray:

Go to UK for a year then jump to the league
I have to talk to Cal first, see if he needs a 40 pound overweight 5"11 shooting guard who is not a threat off the dribble but could knock down a three or two if he could spare me about 20 looks. I'll let you know what he says. If it works out I am taking the gang to Taco Bell tonight and nobody's touching the dollar menu.

Thank you God for not making me Drew.
You don’t want to look like a Greek God?

Sounds like a form of torture. ( as I set here eating food a rabbit would love ) Vaca in a week , must drop a few pounds in anticipation .

Lol it’s not bad man. I think humans are wired to be feast and fast so i eat at about 4 o’clock everyday and then let my body burn the fat the next 23 hours. I started in January on ‘one meal a day’ at about 220 lbs, now I’m at 200. Just started my diet plan I laid out last week. I’m 6’5 so just maybe 10 or 15 more pounds of fat and I should have my 6 pack (I lift weights as well)

I highly recommended OMAD, good for organ health and can essentially eat whatever you want. I just am taking it to the next level

Anyone else grow up eating Mayo sandwiches? Soup beans was the other staple since you can buy a ton of dry beans at cents per pound.
Spam too with mayo. Mom loved making those fried liver steaks with a side of pork n’ beans or Mac ‘n cheese.

I am saving my $ for the real tournament games, if any are close enough to me. SEC ticket prices are ridiculous.

Eat one meal a day

Frozen broccoli steamable bag
Sweet potato
Chicken breast
Black beans
1/2 cup unsalted mixed nuts
Celery or carrots with hummus

Can change this up and get some baby spinach and cheese to make a salad (no dressing)

Drink tap water - 1 gallon a day
Costs about $8 a day and keeps you really healthy

That’s what I do, you’re welcome

You are RICH. I saw the days back in Middlesboro I was scrapping up a quarter to buy a loaf of bread (Back when you could get bread 4 for a dollar.) and eat that loaf of bread that day (Maybe two days). Yeah, at nearly 6 feet tall and 153 pounds at that time, I never begged. Did that for quite a while as I had just had knee surgery and was without a job for about four months. Lived out of my car but luckily they had a lot of places to park in that area out of the way back then.

Wow, that’s a rough go at it. Glad you were able to get your feet back under you

I realize some people are less fortunate, trying to convey a meal plan both easy on the wallet and the gut

I wish Ramen was available back then, I admit I eat the chicken flavor for lunch about once a quarter. If we have any leftover chicken I make it a meal fit for a peasant King.
On the topic of Ramen, there was a report recently that someone stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Ramen. Can you just IMAGINE how much Ramen that would be? Was it an entire cargo ship?!?!?! [roll]Beyond that, how do you go about fencing that on the black market? Psssst. Want some Ramen for 5cents? [laughing]

I’m not entirely sure I understand these personal and cultural jabs at other states. Never have, never will. Tennessee is a beautiful state with great people.

The Vols can eat a $&?!, though.

I think it's kind of the idea that we can make fun of one another since our states are so much alike (same with WV). Like I'll freely criticize my state, or the South for that matter, but I'll fight anyone that does the same that isn't from there.

cause if I wasn't, I would be Nashville right now getting ready for the tournament. Instead, another bland spaghetti dinner and watching the tube...Happy hump day to me! lol
Take some steps to change the narrative. It may take some time, but hard work and a positive outlook usually end up being rewarded. In the meantime, no shame in watching the Cats on television. The vast majority of us will this weekend.

True story....I was so broke at one point when I was younger I scraped enough money together to buy a used couch because the used couch I was using was literally falling apart. I called the local shelter to come get it since they would haul off old stuff for free to use there. They showed up, looked at my couch and refused to take it. I knew I was poor when my furniture wasn't good enough to give to the homeless.

Here’s my poor story.

My parents had enough of me after my 3rd rehab, told me to kick the rocks and figure it out. I was poor, for the first time in my life. I was 19.

I worked really, really hard. Found a girl who had money, moved in. Never thought it could happen. I’m telling you guys, never give up. This is America, there’s always an average girl who’s parents have money that will take you in, you just can’t give up.

I am no where near poor but I can't afford things like that. I mean if I really wanted to I could save up for something like that but I would much rather save up for a summer trip for my daughter and I or something like that. I honestly much prefer to watch games on TV as I couldn't afford the type of seats that would give me a great view most of the time anyway. I see UK play when they come to gainsville most of the time and very few years I see them in Rupp when I visit family in Kentucky. That is good enough for me .

I’ve got a friend who’s dad is a super crazy alcoholic. Sun up to sun down he’s on Natural Ice.

Saw him in the grocery about a month ago with a cart that had 4 cases of Natty Ice and a loaf of break. I said Randal, bread?

He said yea, man can’t live on beer alone.

True story. I barely made it out.

Huh? how would that list of what he eats ( aka eating healthy) elicit such a silly question?

Drew just seems like one of those really awesome gay guys that I really like as a friend. He can tell me how to eat for my figure, what color combinations look great together, and I never have to worry about him trying to come through my back door, well, the house back door anyway. Wife is safe with him.

Just has so many advantages.

Why do you immediately feel negativity when I mention Drew being gay?

Lol i can still do those things, I think I’m pretty fashionable and your wife is safe, I ain’t that kind of bro.

It really does have a lot of advantages. I’ve recently become an advocate of MGTOW. Realized I didn’t want marriage or children so if I take care of myself, I can bang 25 year olds for another 20 years lol. That’s all the motivation I needed to stay in shape

Not married no kids? Obsessed with body? Appearance? Grown man?

Hmmmm.....

Drew, be yourself.

Maybe I will join you. I'm 45 and am 5'10" and 240 pounds. We don't have many space eaters on our team. I probably weigh nearly as much as Travis and also play below the rim. With my lower center of gravity, I might be able to box out effectively. Unfortunately all that space I take up came at a price. I have multiple fusions in my back and likely could only play a few minutes a game. Is that good enough for a scholarship? [laughing]

Might have been a Robin Hood scenario. Probably some shelter somewhere with an overflowing pantry. Imagine this but with Ramen falling out.

Go VOLSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
Kentuckians best avoid Nashville this weekend. The Tennessee trashiness of Nashville relative to the great state of Kentucky is truly shocking!!!! It isn't worth your time or effort to make a trip to this third world cesspool.
I sure hope you guys are playing sat..the revenge *** kicking is gonna be sweeeeet
