If they are going to give football recruits tix, put them at the top of the section seats. 98% of these recruits will never play at Rutgers anyway. These recruits have absolutely no interest in the game. They’re all sitting listlessly on their phones. The dog and and pony show walking them through the floor needs to stop too. They can walk around to the section from the side doors.
Put students down on the front 10 rows to make noise.

I did see a good number of students heading up to the 300s in my section
There were seats to be had in the student section right up to tip-off
Again mostly behind the band

But again the question is, were any students not able to get in ?

arriving after tip-off and then having to sit in the 300’s is not the worst thing as long as they get in

It looks mostly full to me....Not like the rest of the student section, but its acceptable. And this is how the football team gets better. Bringing recruits to that atmosphere helps sell RU's vision. No problem with allotting that small section for recruits.
No, not acceptable

Got his one game that's enough. Sticking students in the 300s instead of those seats is disgusting. **** Schiano and that dumpster fire.

Seems like its way more games this year, a bit excessive.

And would it hurt them to at least applaud when the home team scores. They didnt even look up from their phones for red panda.
How about we make them leave after the first 10 mins or so of the game? This way they get their little parade in and then they can sit in their parents car on the phone.

Some competitive play on the field by our football team would do way more in helping our chances with these recruits than a basketball game.
Of course it would, but until that happens, you sell them the fac that the defense is competitive, the offense is getting a new coach to fix that, and in 2 years the football stadium atmosphere will look a lot like this.

You’re wrong. The recruits all comment how amazing the Rutgers students are

Jeff Towers shook most of the recruits hands as they walked by. He puts his money where his mouth is and doesn’t seem to mind. It’s the best show on campus, it’d be stupid not to use it as a recruiting tool. More of them put their phone lights on during the intro than fans did.

There were some total smoke shows sitting in the 300s tonight. Not PSU trash either.

18 of 25 rows of one section for football recruiting when kids have to line up to Henry's Diner hours before the game (luckily it wasn't raining) to make sure they get a seat, many of which are probably missing classes to do it is not acceptable. Because it's not a one time thing. It's like every game. It's Junior Day, it's Sophomore day, it's second cousin of a Freshman day. The Football program needs to get its act together and come up with some better ideas on how to attract recruits. Like getting coaches it doesn't need to fire mid-season, scoring a point in a Big Ten game, etc. I think each section behind the basket holds 500 people which means that 360 prime seats could've gone to students without having them stand around in the cold for hours on Livingston and HOPE they get a seat. Enough with this crap.

I’m not wrong. You’re wrong. Go back to the loser football board. These recruits do nothing for the atmosphere of of the RAC

during the loudest RU chant after we went on the run...only guy in that section from 110 was doing it

Glad you’re in a good mood after a 20 point win over Pen St!
I'm having a great time, great win. Came here to maybe get some insightful stories and stats. Maybe get to here about others excitement. Instead I get a bunch of babies crying about a small amount of seats that don't affect the atmosphere. Same old **** now after every game. Guess what next home game those seats will have no students in them and the home game after that and the one after that.
