I was not there then but my older brother was and I remember him bringing home the reflector featuring photos with strategically drawn fig leaves. Unfortunately the dude to chick ratio was about 10 to 1.

Had a friend that used to streak into fast food restaurants in Starkville and start doing jumping jacks

Duggar to flag pole and back. Bag over head or no bag, depending primarily on “endowment.”

Wasn't there a prize for both first place and last place? I never watched the race, but my Freshman year they said the winner ripped off his ski mask in excitement of winning.

Flagpole Flop.

I ran the Flop in '85. Sessums-around the pole on the drill field-and back. Survived the eggs, campus police, and under-sexed Phi Mu's. My roommate won. I bailed out and cut thru Hilbun to avoid "the gauntlet" back to the front door of Sessums.

I ran it in '88. Sadly, I didn't win..

I was a freshman in '88 and was working dispatch at the Campus Security/Police Department during the Flop. Pure gold over the radio that night. One of the officers that night was female (I *think* she was the only female officer we had at the time other than Capt. Lindley) and she and the other officers on duty were laughing at the streakers and making jokes. They weren't interested in arresting anyone. That's one of the moments at MSU that I will always remember.

If I recall correctly, the tradition was that on the first night it dropped below freezing during the fall term, the men of Sessums would streak to the flagpole on the drill field. There were females at the flag (residents of McKee, maybe?) that would stamp a hand or provide some other evidence of making it there before the men would run back to Sessums. That sound about right?

I streaked a couple times at College Station Apts when an angry boyfriend would show up unannounced.

Sounds like you got some pretty good info over there.. haha. There was so many folks out there that night, or so it seemed, I wondered why we didn't get shut down! Thanks!

The night I think we played UGA at home and was a rainy night I ran my car straight thru the S-curve and tore the front right wheel off my car. I had to leave it sitting in a faculty parking lot for weeks, while I saved up money and went to Vicksburg (Wes True's Mustang junkyard on a hill) to buy parts to fix it. Anyway there was a higher ranking cop in yall's office, was a black guy, that was very nice to me. He used come hang out with me in the parking lot when I was working on the front end of my car in afternoons. He told me once I got it fixed to bring him all my parking tickets and he'd handle them. So I did, and he took care of them for me. The nicest thing a cop has ever done for me.

The greatest spring break ever, all two days in March 1974!!! Starting on Sunday and ending with the last arrest, late Wednesday night. The girl's dorm area and the drill field was home to way to many bare asses. That fence behind Hawthorn Dorm trapped many a good man.

I can recall a group of a few thousand gathered near the womens dorms,

and having streakers dart out. Hell of a time.

When was the last time there was a panty raid on campus?

Times have changed....

Panty raid 1968. Sunday night, set trash cans on Fire, great riot atmosphere, campus police/proctors mobilized, 80 or so headed to new girls dorm? I got tackled by a proctor attempting to hold me but luckily a knee/sucker punch secured my release so I retreated but a few breached the dorm with girls help.

I grew up on Morgan/ Magruder Ave. and we would go to the trifecta of Girls dorms at that time to watch the streakers run in front of Cresswell and Hawthorn Hall. I think it was the early 70's, and life was awesome!

At Fraternity house we would always have someone run across balcony in the buff. I made it myself. Even persuaded a young lady to make a run around house with me one time. I tried my best to get her in the laundry room, telling her it was a secret way in house; so we wouldn’t have to go inside where everybody was. She didn’t fall for it, and we ended up going back in front door laughing hysterically.
