He is a solid HC and could be leaving BC if he doesn’t beat Pitt on Saturday.

He had a solid running attack at BC in spite of losing his starting QB to injury this season.

The search is now in the stage of finding a head coach that has some cache name wise and who has minimum contract demands .

Not too many Steve Addazio fans in this thread, ha!

Gregs resume is better than Addazio’s?

Show us.
Considering he took the worst program in College FB and made it a winner from 2005-2012 yes. Have to throw the first 3-4 years out the window. And unfortunately this will be just as bad

Scott, 2012 is the past in CFB.

What has Greg done as a HC since 2012?

If you guys thought GS’ ego was bad, the Dazzler’s is much worse. It was a great day when he left North Broad for BC. His people skills are the absolute worst.

The real question is how much BC is willing to pay Greg to take his game plan north.

No. Army, Memphis or Boise St. coach should all be contacted. Could double any of their salaries and all great coaches.

Should also interview Nunzio he’s decent.

Get it done as fast as possible. Next year will be tough. But get a good coach and things will be fine.

Sure, why not. Addazio is good. As long as he is willing to come with no facility upgrades and doesn’t expect to make more than $500k a year, I’m good with it.

I’m on the record that I think the value Schiano 2.0 is vastly overstated here. Yes, you do have to throw out his record his first few years when he was building the dean thing (a remarkable achievement; on this, no one can reasonably disagree).

But his last five years really kind of showed that 2006 was at best Schiano’s apogee and at worst, fool’s gold. He was 16-19 in his last five years in conference — and it wasn’t a great conference. He knew what Rutgers needed to go from a Colgate-style program to a real power conference program, but as a coach? Meh. In retrospect, 2006 looks more and more like a flash in the pan.

Having said all that, Addazzio is a clown. He was on thin ice at Temple before BC was clumsy and desperate enough to take him off their hands. I wouldn’t trust him to hand him the keys of a moribund program such as Rutgers, and even if he got a strong one, I don’t think he’s ever going to do better than the 6-6, 7-5 style seasons he’s compiled at BC. And his schedule there is certainly easier than what he’d face in the Big Ten East.

You’d be advised to pass.

Not throwing my support behind Addazio, just mentioned him as a possible candidate for RU.

For the Greg Only folks who are now heart broken the next step in the healing process is to look for other candidates.

Remember when that special girl in hs told you to get lost? Well some of you probably took her advice.

Move on. Sooner the better.

But yet you wanted a coach who was 68-67.
As it's been stated ad nauseam, Schiano inherited an inept program of epic proportions both talent wise and facility wise. While he never won any sole conference title, he did go five and one in bowls his last seven seasons and had us actually in the conversation as a dark horse for the national title in 2006. Considering where we are now, that last fact alone is mind boggling.
