Hilarious, you've been knocking everyone's comments but you have been wrong all year. You are wearing commodore glasses, you think Vandy is some great program but they are not what you think they are. Top 15??? How do you figure that? What did that program do to make you think they are top 15?
But still, you should start realizing that Vandy is what it is and they will never be what you want them to be.
You might as well buy a blue T-shirt and join the BBN. There's a spot for you in the back somewhere.
Vandy has never had a coach that "locked down the state" recruiting wise. If there is a worthy player UK, UT or Memphis usually gets them.
Lol - amazingly bad take.
VU pays top 15 in the country. We'll pay and we will pay well.
Now, it may set us back depending on who we hire, but this was the right time to get rid of Stallings. He ruined this year and after 3 straight tourney misses, Stallings created a very toxic environment.
It's sad, but this is a best case scenario (5 million dollar swing on buyout (2.5 we pay if it's a fire, if Pitt hires, they pay us 2.5).
Stallings must have gotten one heck of a raise this year then. The following is last year's top paid basketball coaches:

I think Vandy will become more creative with it's basketball enrollee admission standards to get a new coach. Vandy is a perfect opportunity for a young coach. Remember, they are very much like Duke - football is something to do until basketball season. I can remember Vandy having some good teams 30 years ago - they have the Alumni money to make the program as good as they want it to be - I expect Vandy to be one of the top 4 programs in the SEC from now on.That's why I want Will Wade.
He's supposedly a great recruiter. Could be wrong about him, but I think he could be a stud.

it's not what I think, my friendAnd lol that you think Wofford's coach makes more than a 17 year coach.
And lol that you think Wofford's coach makes more than a 17 year coach.
Exactly what I thought.Brutal in what way? Stallings is an absolute hell of a coach! I think it's a home run hire for Pitt!
7 NCAA Tourneys in 17 years is ok, but not great... Huh? Maybe I am spoiled at Uk but that is god awful. You may be right, but it was time for Stallings to move on. He created a very toxic situation there this year.

You should google NCAAT prior to expansion, it would probably help you understand why VU had so few NCAAT appearances (hint, we played in the same league as UK).
Does Vandys gym count as basketball facilities? Because if so,, it's the worst place in the sec.. Went once and you couldn't pay me to go back..

Don't see any Vandy info on that list.
Best news of the weekend besides Kansas losing. Stallings was the best coach Vandy has had in 30 years. What do you think the chances are they do better? lol 5%. Honestly I enjoy a suckass SEC. When your team is built with high end talent then you just need couple SEC teams to be good but not really great. WHY?
The Non conference schedule, 2 good SEC teams and 9 road games are enough to prepare Kentucky for the NCAA tourney. I say continue on with sucking at basketball SEC. I approve of your losing. It helps Kentucky MORE than it hurts imo. I'm sure some disagree but the SEC still prepares Kentucky better than the BIG 12 prepares Kansas 95% of the time. That's a fact.
The same reason Andy Kennedy at Ole Miss is now the longest tenured.
coaching salaries are public knowledge though; all you have to do is googleVU is a private school and they are notorious about keeping their salaries that way. Last time I saw his salary was 2014 and it was just over 2 milli.
You don't have to get pissed because someone doesn't share the same opinion as you. I think he's a great coach....there's a reason he was the longest tenured coach in the league.

I did find Stallings on this list, for SEC coaches - he was 14th. To be fair, this was from February 2015, and several of these coaches no longer work in the SEC

No,, UK won that game,, was Tubby's title year.. I just hate that court layout.. It's awful,, lol.. Outside of Vandy fans,, everyone hates it..Did we win when you came to Memorial?
The gym counts as part of the facilities for sure, and it is one of the best in the country!!! The gym, however, is only part of the facilities.
UK's assistants make almost as much as some of the SECs head coaches,, lol..coaching salaries are public knowledge though; all you have to do is google

Stallings made a tad under 2 million at Vandy.. Would rank 5th on that link.. Probably is a tad over if he got more each year.. Was 1.93 million in 2013..Don't see any Vandy info on that list.
I would suspect that other coaches also got raises. Go Cats!![
He makes over 2 million per year.
In 2014, he was the 15th highest paid coach and has had two raises since then.
This is a completely empty observation. Kermit Davis just beat Tom Izzo. In recent years Coach K has lost to "luminaries" Bob Hoffman and Brett Reed. Guy Lewis once bested John Wooden in the "game of the century." Your mindset needs to move away from football, where this kind of thing is rare, to basketball, where it happens all the time. Since your sole interest is in taking shots at Calipari, you need to rethink your approach. For those taking pot shots at Stallings as he exists the room I'd remind you that he had a win over Calipari this season. Of course, such coaching luminaries as Johnny Jones, Steve Alford, Tom Crean, Rick Barnes and others did too.
if your goal is an NIT bid which I'm pretty sure is OK with Ole Miss.Another good coach
