I went to SJU so to be fair they are my second favorite team. And yes, I catch grief for that. But I've been a Duke fan since 7th grade or so. St. John's was a consistent top 20 program in the 70's, 80's and some of the 90's. And they had a few good teams in the early 2000's. But it's been dry since then for sure. There is a LOT of goodwill towards Mullin there so he'll have plenty of time to turn it around. But he needs to win eventually.

I've heard that too. UConn and Nova started getting the best players from the NYC area. There's a prep school in Conn. where many of the city's top players go.

Like everyone else SJ will be pumped to play Duke. Great way to break a 11-game losing streak.

They are expected to lose and having nothing to lose. I think this game is closer than anyone would like.

...and Duke still wins.

St. John's is always scary to me for some reason. We've played them before where they've been lousy and almost lost. I know this game is on the road, but are they still the last non-conference team to beat us in Cameron? And wasn't that like 17 or 18 years ago?

Well, I guess you were right to be scared... I have always hated this trap game, eventhough I think a game like this is needed..

They have lost 11 in a row. Even though it's a road game, I would hope not to see us struggle to beat a team that has lost 11 straight.
