I wouldn't be surprised if Trev consults with Meyer to get his advice on some candidates. But Urban won't be the coach.
My wife said if NU hires Urban, she's done with NU football.
I don't care what he did on his free time. Neither does his wife. LOL
My Secret Source said a guy he works with, was told by his Dentist that Urban wasn’t coming with Fox to Lincoln this weekend. Just didn’t think it was right.
Seemed very plausible to me.
All I'm saying is that Meyer turning-around a losing program is ancient history. His 2 major college jobs...Florida and Ohio State...were already set up to win big. And he did just have an epic flop in the NFL.

I responded to The WayITellEm about turning programs around not about Meyer's values. Yes I heard Trev's presser and his talk about values and yes it sounds like it would disqualify Meyer.
You can't cherry pick, you need to look at his whole work as a head coach not just two schools. Like him or hate him turned several programs around and quickly.
In these days of addadicktome procedures, ya gotta be careful about crashing a snatch patch.
It's funny that people act like they wouldn't cut off their right arm for Urban to come to Nebraska. So let's save some time and cut the self righteous crap. Just about everyone on the level of Urban has some skeletons in the closet. He's just not very good at hiding his. It doesn't excuse it but it's just the way it is.
That said I doubt that he will come here. Seems like a pipe dream. But if it does happen I'm not going to complain. And I doubt very much that most people would.
He'll be fine and a lot happier once he's back in college ball. He was never going to succeed as a NFL guy. Recruiting is one of his greatest strengths and he hates to lose 1 game let alone ten . Might be just what we need to stop the culture of losing that we've developed as of late.

I actually think he would come here if we made him a priority. I just don't think we will, Trev appears to be looking for something else.
I'm pretty sure he's been given a long leash to find the guy he wants. If it's Urban, he'd go after Urban. If he's still letting outsiders make decisions for him, you've got to seriously question his leadership abilities as an AD.
Well then your entire Athletic Department is screwed. The AD needs to be trusted by the University to make the hires, it’s his job.
I trust Trev, the problem will be when the president and the long list of lawyers get involved wanting a comittee to come in and decide on a candidate, that's how you get Mike Riley.
He is going to be in Lincoln for Big Fox kickoff , go with the flow dude having a little fun on here.
Please please please be true. Give Urban Meyer whatever he wants to be our next coach. Even if he's only there 1-2 yrs., who cares?! At least the culture gets flipped immediately to one of winning and then another coach can continue the winning tradition

He's coming to NU this weekend to check out how many pretty young coeds are available. Decision to follow after that

IMO, IF he is interested he is acting deliberately naive instead of just saying "No", as Bob Stoops flat out did.

Why would he consult with Urban on a few candidates… I love the fact that Urban goes after what he wants. That’s a confident dude.
