Hahaha… I heard that in the offer we were going to put that Trev will put a new Shakers in DT and UM would have a say in hiring.

Obviously because Urban knows a thing or two about football having won national championships at different schools with a stellar W-L record. Urban won't be the only one Trev consults with. Trev said himself he'd be consulting with multiple people and to head off rumors he said it doesn't mean they are candidates for the job.
I am on record on this board on numerous occasions saying that its is a total pipe dream that Meyer would be our coach. And I still think it is 95% unlikely that that would happen. Still... I was a bit taken aback yesterday when he picked us to win. Because he is too smart to think that we would. I don't buy his claim that the crowd enthusiasm would carry us to victory. He knows better than that too. He saw how we played in our first three games. A loud crowd is going to get us to beat OU? Then Meyer kept praising NU fans as the best in the country and so on. In other words, he sounded like a man who was trying to curry favor with the Nebraska fan base. Why?
My gut says there is no way he wants to coach NU. My gut says he is an egotist who just loves the flattery of being the one guy most Husker fans want. He enjoys the tease-act he is engaged in and loves the attention.
I still don't think he is our next coach.

Good thing we know about yesterday. Trev did talk with Urban briefly and there is enough interest to continue the conversation. It is obviously way to early for anything to happen but it is a start. This is coming from my cousin who is extremely well connected in the Athletic Dept with the higher ups.
Or maybe he genuinely loves what Nebraska has been as a program and really wants it to be great again. Does that mean he will want the job? We'll see....
Judging by what and the way Urban was talking about Nebraska, even picking them to win against OU, it doesn’t sound like Trev would need $100 for 10.
Playing the advocate, IF Urban wants to coach, which he does, what program provides the easier path to the College Football Playoffs if recruited and coached properly, drum roll Nebraska!! Down the list; Big 10 West is winnable, Big 10 and Nebraska resources are endless, Kansas City/ St. Louis recruiting is open for business, rabid fan base that will fuel his ego and he has access to the best coaches.
