Meyer walked into the top programs and simply continued them. Plus he cheated. Then he went to a fair challenge in the NFL...and he was an epic failure.

I calling “Bull” on this one.

From a coaching perspective, the last place Urban Meyer is going to be this weekend is Lincoln, Nebraska.

He doesn’t need to come to Lincoln to discuss anything about a coaching position.

And because he’s been publicly listed as a possible candidate for the Head Coaching position at Nebraska, he would not come to Lincoln during the first game following the firing of Scott Frost, and especially a game that will have the significance of an Oklahoma/Nebraska game.

He is not coming in and inject himself into that and become a big distraction, the story and National News. As you are offering, there are no “Secrets”. Word always leaks out.

But Trev Alberts, Ronnie Green nor anyone else at the University will be inviting Urban Meyer to Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend.

And due to the circumstances, I don’t believe any professional position would bring him to town either.

Put me down as a “Non-Buyer” of this offer.

Best case scenario... he wins big then leaves. Worst case, he's a head case and it blows up ala Jacksonville.

I just don't see him having any loyalty.

UM will get the program back to what you expect.... I know everyone wants to pile on him but he is a really good coach.... In the end all coaches have skeletons....

lol, no. Urban went to Bowling Green who had six straight losing seasons and went 17-6 in two years. Utah was 17-17 the three years before Urban, he goes 22-2 in two years. Florida was 23-15 the three years before Urban, under Urban they win 2 national titles(more than Spurrier). Ohio State was obviously good under Tressel, but Urban had an even better winning percentage than Tressel at Ohio State.

If Nebraska hired Urban they would quickly be among the elite in college football.

Exactly, in the end a football coach is there to win games, simply... Urban has never been in trouble with the NCAA.... He is like Saban , where he stays within the rules, and wins.... Now, if everyone is worried about PC stuff, than maybe that can be only complaint... But in the end, he wins... Unless it is NFL.. LOL

Agreed. I don’t think there’s even a remote chance of UM ending up in Lincoln, but I wish he would.

Urban Meyer has won at every school he has been HC at in college. He turned a few losing programs around, you really need to do a little investigating before you post.

I think Trev's comment about a new coach having to match the values of NU disqualifies Urban due to his snatching the snatch on video.
