must still be hurting. he didn’t look for a shot until the final minute. didn’t penetrate once until the final minute. the only shots he would take were bail out shots when he got the ball with no time on the clock.

Every player has an off game and Wallace had his today. It happens to the best of players.

We’ve been singing his praises but man it’s not on Cal this loss is on Wallace. He was simply awful-didn’t even seem to try to score. Just unbelievable really.

Why does Cal bring in kids that have a history of injury problems and expect them to be an INTRICATE part of the offense???!!!!

Cason does NOT look comfortable at PG. He is shaky with the ball and is not even a good passer. He struggles shooting off the dribble outside of the paint.

It is depressing seeing one of our supposed best players playing timid and without any fire or precision. That is something we should NEVER see at UK!!!

He's been incredibly good with the ball in his hands until recently.. He looks disinterested like he's just going through the motions. Same disinterest that Oscar showed for a while before Cal called him out publicly. Something definitely going on behind the scenes with the whole team.

Theiro wasn't highly regarded, reclassified - he'll probably transfer and flourish next season, seems to be the normal around here now.

Who knows
Hurt?
Going through the motions?

Agree he is not a PG and his passing is poor. He is a good standstill shooter and defender. Should at least be a 2 year college player as he is very inconsistent but that could be due to his back.

He is and will be a lottery pick.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I know that Cals style is hindering him, but I just don't see a lottery type talent. I bet he drops to late teens early 20s.. and if he doesn't turn this around soon it will drop more.

You might be right but he looks like a raw 2 guard prototype, at 6'6" he can shoot and defend.

Thiero hasn’t played since the UT game. Can’t blame him. Blame Cal for not playing him.

Thiero isn't ready for the big time yet. I love his game, saw him play against my friend's son in HS, and bragged on him when he was recruited and this board was bashing him for his ranking, but he needs another year or two. He is STILL a Freshman!

The shooting and defense are pluses for sure. He'll probably make a good 3&D guy in the NBA.. but I really haven't liked the body language or the apprehension. And I think all the other "guard" type skills are lacking.

I'm also seeing that he's 6 foot 4.. although maybe that's changed. If that's the case then he's just average size to play the 2.

Idk, I just haven't been that impressed with him lately.

Don't know what it is but he didn't even look to score. Seems disengaged. Puzzling.
Good kid who has done a lot for us this year -- and we for him -- but he stated at the beginning that he wanted to get here and get out as fast as possible, or so it was reported. If true, following Calipari's stated program direction and philosophy, I, among probably a long list of BBN card carriers, have a big problem with that.

It would appear that team achievement goals here are much less important than the individual getting to the next level. It may have only been an 18-year old speaking, but those pervasive feelings from a newcomer, who should otherwise be focused on being a good teammate, winning games, and winning championships, are disturbing. Maybe a damn good reason why we saw him playing so poorly when he arguably should have been the best player on the court...for both teams.

Thiero showed the world today why he has not received any playing time. He is a project who is not ready for prime time b-ball yet.
He’s actually got to get time though. I don’t understand why Cal hasn’t tried him more at times. This isnt a Dontae Allen situation in my book. Now if I’m a year or so it’s the same thing well, that’s a different story.

He talked to Carruth’s mother on the Ms. Cleo channel and she told him it was a bad day to play and shoot. Can’t take any chances

I think it was Livingston who said it, but it was taken out of context. It was during McD AA week and during an interview, he said what all kids say about the NBA being the primary goal and that a year of college was the necessary step to get to the draft.

It would be like a college pre-med student talking about the end goal of being a surgeon and saying I’m only taking these classes because they are required.
