Something up with Cason

Said in another post that Cason is the most serious college age kid I think I have ever seen. He doesn’t smile. And frankly he just doesn’t have the patience for the immaturity and garbage play of a lot of the roster this year. Cason knows basketball. I think he’s just sick of kids not being in the right positions, not understanding simple plays, not being focused, etc. That said, he’s kinda becoming the thing he likely ridicules. He’s lost his interest. Being in pain will also wear you out mentally, so that’s almost certainly a factor too.

Don’t be surprised to see him opt out soon. Honestly what’s he playing for? He’s a two guard. The sooner he bets back to being a two guard, ………

He’s actually got to get time though. I don’t understand why Cal hasn’t tried him more at times. This isnt a Dontae Allen situation in my book. Now if I’m a year or so it’s the same thing well, that’s a different story.

Cal set him up to fail today. Bennies wanted him to see time. Cal held him back until today. Pretty clear Cal is daring Mitch to fire him. He wants that buyout money. He's a business man. Do it my way or fire me, but there is no way I'm gonna do anything differently. Either way Cal gets paid.

I will NEVER understand why losing games isn’t “fired for cause”. That’s literally your job.

I think it was Livingston who said it, but it was taken out of context. It was during McD AA week and during an interview, he said what all kids say about the NBA being the primary goal and that a year of college was the necessary step to get to the draft.

It would be like a college pre-med student talking about the end goal of being a surgeon and saying I’m only taking these classes because they are required.
It was Cason that said it . Now maybe Livingston said it too but Cason comments led to a long thread talking about it .

I agree with you though . All 5 star kids and most 4 star kids feel the exact same way . He just shouldn’t have said it because fans will overreact to it .

DJ Wagner is about the only 5 star recruit that I’ve ever heard not talk about the pro level.

At times in appeared he did not want to shoot when he had open looks. Something seemed off. I'd like to think he was having some kind of limiting physical issue as opposed to some other mentions in this thread.

This team has enough roster pieces to be good but man we get 2 stinker performances every single game. It rotates who has them but we never have a full squad all have a decent game.
Really good players are consistently good.
Ours are not, unfortunately.

He has a history of back spasms, dating back to high school. I think he was spasmodic this afternoon and not at full strength.

I didn’t watch the game, not a minute. But Cason has a big problem. He’s not aggressive at all. He is weak with his game. He has enough skill, talent, and bulk to be the leader this team desperately needs, but doesn’t have it mentally. Too bad.
