Steffen ain’t playing— USMNT just announced in a tweet a few minutes ago that he’s covid positive. It looks like Gio Reyna won’t play either.

I think he will but won’t start.

Pulisic has played very well.

Dest might have been playing better— I thought he might have been the top player of the half but then he got injured and was replaced by Yedlin late in the half.

At least our Brazilians weren't able to travel to play in the South American qualifiers this break. International soccer is OK, but they play way too much of it. Need to cut back to 1 break in the fall and 1 in the spring, and then a big tournament in even year summers (confederations tournaments in Olympic years and the World Cup in the non-Olympic even years). Instead they're trying to cram even more into the schedule with a major tournament every summer and the nations leagues.

Honestly, if I were a big time soccer player, there's no way I'm putting the wear and tear (and travel) of International soccer on my body for little pay. I'm taking the breaks off and prolonging my club career.
