Been listening to my amazon playlist a lot, instead of listening to channels. Wide variety of 90s alt, 90s rock, 00s alt, 10s alt, and 10s indie rock.

I think Avett Brothers' True Sadness(the song) was played about 20 times this past weekend. The lyrics are simply fantastic. sad and uplifting, discouraging and hopeful all in the same song.

I'm a progressive rock guy, and 2 songs by YES have been eerily helpful in making sense of what's going on today with disagreements among different folks with strong opinions.

Listen to those songs, and pay attention to the lyrics. Lot's of good stuff. These were on the 90125 album in 1983.

I happened to see this yesterday. Wow she got blown up for cultural appropriation.
Admittedly, I often struggle to understand what is appropriation and what is appreciation. There are some obvious examples, but then there are a lot of examples where it just seems the person likes the style of a different culture's clothing/hair and apparently that is bad?...its confusing.
