That is weak, why go there?still be asking Ben McCullem for advise on how to coach?
I dunno. Maybe because there were posters here drawing very unfavorable comparisons between the 2 while questioning whether Jan was even qualified for the job? That is weak, why go there?
I saw those ans spoke out in support of Jan. I think playing one coach against another is not good. Ben does not have the talent and has to do more with less. Give him a couple years to build his roster.I dunno. It's not comparing the two coaches. It's a a comment on the misogyny constantly displayed on this board.I saw those ans spoke out in support of Jan. I think playing one coach against another is not good.

Ben took over after a dumpster fire.I don't know what Beth was thinking, she should have at least called Jenni B. before settling on Ben.
Ben took over after a dumpster fire.
JJ took over a program that competed in two consecutive national title games.
This thread is hilarious.
BTW: Oklahoma's record the season before JennieB arrived was 12-12.
Her first season, Oklahoma was 25-9.
Anyone else confused?
Because I do have some level of tolerance...to a certain point.
This time I was baited, so I responded.I suppose I'm confused on why you, like a dog, gets that bone in his mouth and will not let go.
Don’t you have a grandsons game to go critique the coaches at?This time I was baited, so I responded.
See post #5.
We could settle this if there had ever been a matchup of Oklahoma and the Hawks since JB and JJ became head coaches.

Also: would Ava have stayed committed? Lucy? Addie? Who would have transferred out? A major rebuild would have killed the program momentum. Jan's hire was 100% the right move for that reason. There was still a bit of a rebuild, but the soul of the team was the same, and the 2 seasons of consecutive sell-outs can attest to that. That wouldn't settle anything, but only in your mind if Jenni wins the game again. So to you, Jennie should have been hired. Was she offered the job? Do you know for sure? Please let me know, because I don't, and I don't really care.
You're suggesting hiring from within for a HC that might be here for 15-20 years just to keep a handful of current players and recruits? Also: would Ava have stayed committed? Lucy? Addie? Didn’t you say you’d drop this schtick if Iowa beat Michigan? I’m SHOCKED you’re back at it already.Ben took over after a dumpster fire.

SO, in "taking over a program that competed for two consecutive titles" did she lose any key players? Like arguably one of the GOATS of all time, a woman who produced as much as 70% of the teams offense in some games, (counting assists and points), as well as two other 3 years starters?? Is it your statement that she inherited even remotely the same team that Lisa had?Ben took over after a dumpster fire.

It isn't everything, but he's right in that this team as it's constructed today would not exist were it not for Jan being promoted into the HC role. You're suggesting hiring from within for a HC that might be here for 15-20 years just to keep a handful of current players and recruits?

JJ has done an extremely good job in her two years at the helm.
But to suggest the "cupboard was bare" is also not true.
As I've stated numerous times, my complaints have been mostly the Xs and Os, specifically managing fouls.
We know. You harp incessantly over something that in the grand scheme of things means nothing. And you don’t win 50 games in 2 years by being bad at X’s and O’s.JJ has done an extremely good job in her two years at the helm.
