So should Jan

I dunno. Maybe because there were posters here drawing very unfavorable comparisons between the 2 while questioning whether Jan was even qualified for the job?
I saw those ans spoke out in support of Jan. I think playing one coach against another is not good. Ben does not have the talent and has to do more with less. Give him a couple years to build his roster.

I don't know what Beth was thinking, she should have at least called Jenni B. before settling on Ben.
Ben took over after a dumpster fire.

JJ took over a program that competed in two consecutive national title games.

This thread is hilarious.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
BTW: Oklahoma's record the season before JennieB arrived was 12-12.
Her first season, Oklahoma was 25-9.
Anyone else confused?
Because I do have some level of tolerance...to a certain point.

I suppose I'm confused on why you, like a dog, gets that bone in his mouth and will not let go.

This time I was baited, so I responded.

See post #5.😁😁😁

We could settle this if there had ever been a matchup of Oklahoma and the Hawks since JB and JJ became head coaches.

Don’t you have a grandsons game to go critique the coaches at?
I am watching Game Changer today!!!

They're in Norman, Oklahoma actually.

How ironic, huh?

You like to criticize my POV, but it kinda shows your lack of knowing game strategy regarding foul usage, etc.
You see, regardless of what level of basketball is played, there are certain things that are universal.
Oh, well...I don't expect you to acknowledge that because that would be a concession from you.
I eagerly await your next, cute emoji.

That wouldn't settle anything, but only in your mind if Jenni wins the game again. So to you, Jennie should have been hired. Was she offered the job? Do you know for sure? Please let me know, because I don't, and I don't really care.

Also: would Ava have stayed committed? Lucy? Addie? Who would have transferred out? A major rebuild would have killed the program momentum. Jan's hire was 100% the right move for that reason. There was still a bit of a rebuild, but the soul of the team was the same, and the 2 seasons of consecutive sell-outs can attest to that.

You're suggesting hiring from within for a HC that might be here for 15-20 years just to keep a handful of current players and recruits?

Interesting POV.

Didn’t you say you’d drop this schtick if Iowa beat Michigan? I’m SHOCKED you’re back at it already.

Jan literally took a roster with multiple key injuries, dominated by freshmen and sophomores, with middle of the pack Big Ten preseason expectations, and has produced a regular season record that is better than all but one of Lisa Bluder's seasons at Iowa. Just take the L on your take, quit bitching, and enjoy the ride.

SO, in "taking over a program that competed for two consecutive titles" did she lose any key players? Like arguably one of the GOATS of all time, a woman who produced as much as 70% of the teams offense in some games, (counting assists and points), as well as two other 3 years starters?? Is it your statement that she inherited even remotely the same team that Lisa had?

It isn't everything, but he's right in that this team as it's constructed today would not exist were it not for Jan being promoted into the HC role.

JJ has done an extremely good job in her two years at the helm.

But to suggest the "cupboard was bare" is also not true.

As I've stated numerous times, my complaints have been mostly the Xs and Os, specifically managing fouls.

You were asked a couple of questions above in post 16 and post 22. Do you have accurate answers or just your usual drivel?

We know. You harp incessantly over something that in the grand scheme of things means nothing. And you don’t win 50 games in 2 years by being bad at X’s and O’s.
