Could certainly wind up there but why didn’t he pull the trigger for the home school last night? Would have been easy as pie.

Obviously something has changed, but truth be told it's a guess on what the kid might do.

Pretty crazy how we and our staff thought he was ours. And now it looks like he's done a 180, not sure what it was but there was something that happened!!
Remember to stay classy if it is indeed Washington, because he's a kid and we're still fine next year!!! And I'm sure Cal has a plan!

How much of this is because people are hearing different things and how much of this is they are just following other picks who changed to UW

Lol this "crystal ball" stuff seems more like "wait till someone makes a pick that is reliable and copy them" lol
Paying much attention to the Crystal ball thing is an act in futility . I mean for example everyone knows he is either going to UK or UW. So 50/50 chance of getting it right. Slater obviously thought he would commit last night to UK so now that he hasn't he changes his mind. I mean what does a Duke guy care if he gets a UK recruit wrong? And this is not attacking Slater just saying I wouldn't put much into caring about crystal ball pick for better or worse.

It seems to me like he's really torn between what might be best for him in the future, or being the hometown hero. I don't think any of it is a smoke screen or him trying to create drama before deciding. All the drama has came from his trainer and these clueless recruiting experts.

Not knocking the kid at all,I'd love to see him play at UK but it seems like every recruiting class we spend to much time on one or two kids that keep us waiting that we lose out on other players that we could get only to see them end up elsewhere and then watch the kid we have put so much time and effort in spur us as well

Not with us he isn't.

He's logged incorrect picks on EJ Montgomery, Wenyen Gabriel, Shareef O'Neal, Josh Langford, and Omari Spellman.

He also likes to flip back and forth right at the end so he can claim he was right no matter what happens.

Right now he has tweeted Precious to Memphis, Hampton to China, and McDaniels to Washington. All subliminal messages, lol.

WIsdom of the crowds tends to work very well but only when people are picking on their own accord.

Much less so when people are just copying others picks.

Yeah you are right...............essentially it's a 50/50 decision anyways. It's a coin flip at this point.

I'm just hoping EJ and Nick return and I'm very happy with that roster.Seems like Blackshear will stay in the draft.Looks like our roster is set.

I think we need McDaniel's scoring ability. We're set on athletic freaks, would be nice to have a little more muscle inside, but outside of Maxey we don't have a guy in the starting lineup that can regularly knock down an open jump shot. McDaniels opens up so much as far as spacing and offensive efficiency.

What's comical is that the 4 or 5 Washington fans will think landing him will make them title contenders.

They will be. They will be pac 12 title contenders. I dont know what jaden is going to do. I think he wants to come to UK, compete for a championship, go to the nba a year from now. I also think he wants to be the man, be the hometown hero, and not disappoint Seattle, and be close to his family, then off to the NBA. i think our recruits are recruiting him harder than Washingtons'. Idk why he follows Kentucky basketball on IG, but not Washington basketball. If i had to guess, i would say Kentucky, IF EJ stays in the draft. I also do not think he will announce until June, when the deadline for the NBA draft is over and he is out of school.

Hmm. Have you seen McDaniels or know much about his game? If it’s “more muscle” you’re wanting inside it wouldn’t be McDaniels

the 'would be nice to have a little more muscle' is not in reference to McDaniels. He's built like Durant, maybe benches less than KD. But he can knock down an open jumper at a regular clip, at the very least.

The muscle alludes to Blackshear.

I would love to have McDaniels but I truly don’t think he is critical unless Richards or EJ don’t come back. He’s a want not a need.
Disagree. He is a BAD need if you believe Brooks is more of a SF then a PF . If you think Brooks can be a great starting PF next season then that is different. EJ and Richards combined are more important but Mcdaniels is more important then EJ or Richards individually .

lol it's one of those things I never understood.

If he comes, that's great if not that's fine too.

Cal's recruiting record speaks for itself.

I'm not concerned about this stuff anymore. We'll have a team full of good players regardless lol
Yeah I have little concern in terms of filling the PF hole . We will add another big even if EJ and Richards comes back. I mean Brooks Sestina EJ and Richards is a good front court but not a top 5 one . Now who Cal will turn to instead of Mcdaniels to fill that I have no clue.

While I kinds agree, we should be pretty good next year offensively. We have some good scorers for next season. I agree, however, Jaden would definitely boost that strength.

This is so strange to me as having that little gold badge across from my username lead many to believe this would not be the case
