I was talking about point guard.Wallace is a 2.
Oh gotcha . Well hopefully Wheeler returns . I honestly don’t see an NBA future for him . Of course there is all kind of other professional routes to worry about .

But if he does leave I think Wallace could be fine at Point but I’m also sure Cal will hit the transfer portal hard .

I don’t get how this has anything to do with Sharpe. He committed long before Sharpe was ever on board, and frankly, he’d probably be just fine without him playing. More touches for him. I don’t think Sharpe is playing at this point but I think it’s a stretch to say Skyy decommitting is indicative of anything

This gives me hope that Sharpe ACTUALLY might come back. Clark is a BIG talker, but Cal demands more than talk. Kentucky isn't for everybody. Good luck to this kid wherever he ends up.
Sharpe and Clark play totally different positions.

Is he supposed to be here forever or something? It's been 12 seasons already. He isn't getting any younger and he has insinuated multiple times now about nearing the end. Perhaps he is ready to retire or take another crack in the NBA. Not saying he is leaving, hust that it's always a possibility.

Is this you trying to speak it into existence or something?

Sure, a player leaving COULD be a bad sign of a coached departure.. but we already suspected Skyy might leave, Cal is having a huge turnaround, and we still have a lot of pieces coming back (CJ, Brooks, Toppin, Ware, Collins, Hopkins)...

when I first read the thread title, without knowing some of the backstory, the first thing I thought of was an NIL package from another school

Of course, but more players in the backcourt means less playing time for ANY guard. This also makes me believe Wheeler is returning. Which will give us 3 guards(Frederick, Wheeler, Allen) returning plus Wallace and hopefully Sharpe.

This time last year we had no idea WHEELER, WASHINGTON, GRADY or FREDRICK would play for Kentucky, or even that MINTZ would return.

So, the entire backcourt that may be the best in the country - plus a player who got hurt who would have been a huge contributor - came on board after April.

Remember that before whining and panicking over SKyy Clark.

If Wheelers back we just need to make sure whoever is playing next to him is good as Ty Washington and we'll be fine.
Like I'm good with another year of wheeler.
Give me wheeler and Oscar back next year and I'll see you back in March for another run at number one seed.
I would actually be a absolutely ecstatic to win the championship this year and then get back wheeler and Shib to run at it again! The absolute best situation that a Kentucky fan could hope for

It’s also a possibility that you are a moron.

Simply because I mentioned it as a possibility?

Livingston is not a guard lol.
He is a SG/SF who will play on the perimeter shooting and attacking the rim off the bounce.
247Sports "Chris Livingston is a 6-5, 170-pound Shooting Guard from Akron, OH."
Tremendous physical build for a wing. Has explosive athleticism and can make plays in traffic. Loves to attack the rim. Has a powerful spin move to finish off drives. Shoots it well enough from deep but an area for improvement. Handles well in space but needs to tighten and refine his handle. Can deliver a pass on the move. Active player who comes up with balls off the glass and the floor. Has great potential as a multi positional defender.

But I'm sure you know better! 😉

I would wager that Cal already has someone lined up, AND knows Wheeler will come back, so this was a mutual parting of ways type situation.
This exactly. cal and staff probably already knew it was a possible and already have 2 or 3 more guards on the radar

@ralphdaltonfan called this one a LONG time ago // and I trust Ralph!

@ralphdaltonfan was never a fan of Clark. All I know from the clips I've watched is that he looks overweight and not overly quick. Not ripping the kid but if Wheeler's back I'm fine with this. Cason Wallace can play the TyTy role next year and if we need another guard, the portal is always out there.

I think we'll bring back a strong nucleus in the frontcourt next year and the staff can easily hone in on an extra player or two via the portal.

Because it's unfounded. And you didn't even say it in a way that was like "on the small chance could.."

Again, sounds like you're more wishing this to be true. None of this, and nothing during this season, really points to Cal leaving. It would be a pretty big shock to see him leave now. Last year at this time? Oh yeah, definitely could happen.. but not now. There'd need to be a lot more hints to this than a sub25 recruit leaving because he knows he's not going to play much.
