This kid seems to be all over the place. And we were in third place behind Wisconsin. But we were ahead of Florida! I would have thought the state of Florida and Miami was most attractive. In the end, it seems he favors the pro-style offense of da U. Snippets of quotes:
"Yeah, I'm gonna listen to what the coaches have to say," he said. "Again, this is a verbal. I mean, so I can still listen. But I am a commit to Miami."
"I had a little idea. On Friday night, I talked to my family about Miami would be the place," he said. "It's a great place. We're bringing the U back and I want to be a part of that. I want to be a part of something special at Miami with coach (Mark) Richt, especially with that offensive system and all that he's done with the quarterbacks who went on to play at the University of Miami."
However, the decision wasn't easy.
"It was hard, it was hard, it was very hard," he said. "It was hard turning down my home state, turning down a lot of great opportunities to go out and pursue other places. But you know, this thing's not over, so anything can happen."
"Not necessarily, because I didn't know how I was gonna like Florida. I know it's hot down here, so I really didn't know," he said. "But, I mean, even before leaving Jersey, I had a pretty good idea about Miami and what coach has done with the quarterbacks and what he's doing with Miami bringing the culture back."
One thing that influenced Sitkowski's decision was the Canes' offensive philosophy.
"At Miami, they run a pro-style system," he said. "Everything that you see on Sundays, they do on a Saturday. So it's just like an
NFL system, so it's great.
"I like the system and I feel like I fit it really well," he continued. "And it will get me ready to play on Sundays. It'll give me an opportunity."
