They're not ducking the game, they're just somehow in a Television age of games that impacts ticket sales and advertising revenue, throwing money out the window, because they have players and/or coaches unvaccinated.....

What's false....?? NYC let people know for months in advance, what the requirements were to play.....whether you or I agree with it or not, it set the standards for whats required.....and under 2 days to game day and this is somehow a surprise??

If I am Iona or paid for a ticket for Iona/SHU or Pitt/St John's, I would be expecting 2 games, not 1....If I carved out time on my calendar so I can watch my favorite team or school and it gets canceled because you can't get vaccinated, then don't schedule the game there and schedule something else......

I’m sick of reading these freaking COVID arguments here. Come on, mods, let’s go. Get this shite off here. Act quickly, these fester and get uglier and uglier. Who gives a flying what people on a Rutgers Basketball Board think about COVID?!

Not that it matters because we know the new variants are contracted and spread regardless of vaccinated status, but, Name the players and coaches that haven’t been “ “vaxxed”on SHU?

it matters because games are being cancelled and there will be a potential impact down the line, pretending like people cannot have opinions is absurd

My opinion ,need just one covid 19 related thread on this board
Talking about what each school is doing seems a little outrageous when threads like this pop up.
Just have one thread about the issue on what other schools are doing .
If Rutgers follows suit (or not) then the issue is deserving of its own thread.

Most of the time the same BS is posted by both sides and meaningful discussions will turn into senseless arguments

As for not allowing opinions, zebnatto should be allowed to post his disgust over seeing covid 19 arguments on a sports board.
Like I should have the right to say issues like this should be put in one thread if not Rutgers related.
Because more than one school might be doing the same and a thread put up about each one canceling games because of covid 19 worries.

Discussions /negotiations are in progress to find a replacement.

The basketball threads get ugly too. I mean this will eventually get locked I'm sure but that's ******** tbh

Will be interesting to see how it affects the bubble teams at the end of the year, when some will have played more (or fewer) games than the other bubble teams.

just like every year, some get the shaft/some receive the bid.
Just less games counted towards receiving the invite
Lesser programs will more than likely be hurt playing less games this season , the big boys give a pass and an easier road to the Tourney ., even if they play less games than some other programs played.
The name brands will be catered to, off brands need to really impress to get an at large bid.

Everyone with any understanding of the word “political” recognizes that every time you (you in particular) mention COVID you are doing so in a coded political context using basketball as an excuse for your comments time and again and again. You’re doing nothing but dividing the board only to come back with your it’s abut basketball bs. You’re totally transparent.

Saw this and I thought it was funny.

The government has a dilemma. They need to convince the unjabbed that the jabs work in order to their first 2 doses, while at the same time convince the jabbed that they don't work in order to get their boosters.

What a conundrum!

Things like forcing the closure of schools and cancelling games where everyone is jabbed and boosted isn't helping the cause.

Like I said, you better have a plan in place if you haven't had this. You are going to get it.

Probability is difficult.

FYI - NYC doesn't have a vaccine mandate for players on visiting teams, only teams that are based there. Get the facts straight.
