more imporantly imo, we are #1 in the west. i'll worry about los angeles and dallas when we can beat minneapolis, iowa city, champaign and west lafayette on the football field in the same season.

this is the correct approach - we have the ability to drown the other big ten west programs with talent through the NIL

the approach has to be to overwhelm our division with talent so when you figure in the ongoing underachievement by this head coach the talent will compensate and we will finally be competitive

the talent upgrade is going to have to be substantial however as we have had the most talent in the division for several years and it has been coached to near last place each time

upgrade the talent and we will just have to accept that 8 wins should have been 10-11 or 10-11 wins should have been a national title with even simply average coaching

No capital letters (except NIL), no punctuation marks, and finally, no chance you aren’t a troll.

It would be nice if the rich players bring donuts in every now and then.
Jay Wright the recently retired Villanova Basketball Coach said on "The Doug Gottleib Show" that his players with NIL deals had been taking out their teammates to dinner.

I just wonder how many athletes and their families are going to get in trouble with the IRS. Heck professional athletes are notorious for getting in trouble over unpaid taxes. Are these college kids going to get any better educated on taxes? Some may not even realize they are required to pay taxes. Pandora's Box is wide open.

Have to wonder if the pay discrepancy in the locker room might cause some drama

Not an issue if people would just keep their mouths shut.

Or does everyone else work for organizations where everyone knows everyone's salary? That's never been the case in my career.

The problem is alot of these kids are 18 and 19. Some of them will be talking with 6 figure deals. Showing up and showing off. Maturity is going to be an issue with NIL

nil had to happen...the sec needs football money, thats how they are structured....they don't get the big grants..
so the sec became professionals at money under the table. and the ncaa doesn't have the resources to run surveillance on jim joe's or ray rays uncles in the sec.

so now the money comes on top of the table..and the federal government does have the resources to find jim joe's and ray ray's money under the table..with tax evasion charges.

I like the nil deal cause now you can see how cost effective school are in an ABOVE the board operation.
and it maybe interesting watching teams that do good, bama, georgia, osu, etc get their second string bidded on...

could level things out some, first the sec's has to play by rules now, and if you become really good look out for you depth chart to get bought out. cause now everyone can throw cash at players...not just the ohios states and usc's. now iowa states coach can be a jim tressel, or kansas states players can be reggie bushes.. might get a bit expensive having a bench full of 5 stars.. and if you can buy a bench full of 5 stars they better produce, and not just be good at so cal or 6th street partying.

Do you honestly this it won't be an issue. **** it is professional leagues. I know the stance you have. But you are clueless on this one.
How someone spends the money they earn is their business, not ‘cause for concern’

really grasping at straws when the ‘tax education’ and ‘financial maturity’ white knights come riding in on their broomsticks
