Sharp projected Top 10 in Draft

I think that's just coach speak. It's BS IMO.

But I get why he's saying it.

If Sharpe does play this season, the expectations are going to be through the roof. I think this is Cal's way of tempering expectations as to not put it all on the shoulders of one kid.

Or if we are looking at this in a negative light much easier to say he's not ready than to say oh he's not playing because we don't want to injure him before the draft lol.
Great point, you just highlighted the REASON I think it's the latter.

Sharpe doesn't suck. He's NBA quality, LOTTERY PICK quality. For Cal to say he's not ready smacks of bullsht. Even his teammates think he's ready. So Cal is just gaslighting the public about Sharpe. Now why would he do that? The only rational explanation is that they worked this out ahead of time.

The guy that pees and moans on every thread about anything he can find to get his panties in a wad about questioning anyone's fanhood??? Thanks for the laugh.

Do I want this to happen? No. Can I do anything about it? No Do I want our coach to pass on the top players because this might happen? No
Those are some really easy questions you just asked yourself.

How about these:

Do you care more about winning than you do about draft night?
If yes, how do you square that with Cal's philosophy of draft night being the most important night?
If no, how do you justify your fanhood given the fact that you accept Calipari's philosophy which clearly doesn't put the University first?
How would you rate yourself as a fan, from 1 to 10, 1 being apathetic, and 10 being rabid win at all costs?

Start there, ask yourself and see what you come up with. Maybe you'll have the balls to actually post the answers here. Just stop pussing out and polishing your e-peen.

So. At least Cal gave it a shot. Noone knew the NBA was going to make him eligible for the draft. I want Cal to recruit the best players regardless.
False, Cal knew he was eligible by the time he hit campus. So why isn't he playing?

If Cal doesn’t play him then he is just a horrible human being. He is playing with our lives. Kentucky Basketball is life and death!

Still don't know who is duping who.. is Cal fooling the fans, Sharpe fooling Cal, or somewhere in between the two?

I'd like to think that while we will rail against Cal for this, the fanbase would do the same against Sharpe. Until we hear otherwise (and we might never get a full story) I have to believe Sharpe is just as complicit as Cal.

.. and boy will it be fun to have a new #1 player to root against now that Lebron is on his way out. If Sharpe never plays I won't have much of any sympathy for him.

I asked basically the same question last week and was told TyTy shouldn’t play. This is from people who are supposed to be fans of this program.
When does it ever become about KY basketball again?
This is exactly it when does it become about UK again.

Who gives a **** if we have 35 guys in the NBA making 400 million total in money and ending generational poverty I don’t care.

I care about when UK will have players come back for 2-3 years when they have no buisness leaving for the NBA, when UK will get the next W, when UK will we get to the next final 4, and when UK will get Championship #9!

Based on that post you must have been against kids transferring. You want kids to stay. I guess you were against Cal getting transfers like.Oscar, Grady, Wheeler and Mintz . I got it. I didn't see you objecting to Cal getting the above transfers.

I hope the day Cal steps away from the team he takes half of you guys with him. You all will defend him to the death of the program. Just go back and look at last year for example 9-16 you were right there supporting the worst record in school history! To be honest no matter the money Cal was making and no matter what was going on he should’ve been fired on the spot for sinking the program to such a disaster and we wasn’t even on probation!

There was a pandemic last year. Or did you forget like you do most things that don't fit your agenda. Duke and North Carolina also found out there was a pandemic last year. Get a life. Your hate for Cal will devour you because Cal is going nowhere.

No, I’m asking why he’s here to the guy that says he has no incentive to play. I want him here. I want him to play.
I want him to play if he makes the team better not if he affects the chemistry in a negative way like what has happened at Memphis with Emoni Bates.

His teammates want him to play. That should settle the chemistry issue. So why isn't he playing?

Golly Gee, Beav, did every team in the country go 9-16 last year since it was a covid year?

Have you talked to all his teammates? Didn't know you had all those connections. Blowing smoke as usual.
Cal himself admitted it. Sorry you don't pay attention. There's even a thread about it. Can't read? Typical Cal Culter, flinging feces from the trees without a clue in the world.

Did all teams have mostly first year players that missed months of practice together building team chemistry and learning the system. Your hate for Cal is unbelievable. Either that is clouding your judgement or you have no common sense at all.

You stated on here several times that we can't believe anything Cal says. So you have now changed your opinion and you believe what Cal says because it fits your agenda. Nice take. You have totally exposed for all to see your hate for Cal.

I've never said anything of the sort. You argue like a woman. Quote me or STFU.

Fact is, Cal SAID it and you can't handle it. Go cry to mommy some more and lash out at others. Infant.

You're just mad because you're OWNED and you are deflecting.

This is how I picture you when you post:

Just another lie by you. Cal did not say that his teammates wanted him to play. Cal said the team probably wishes he would play. That means Cal doesn't know but thinks the team probably would like him to play. You might try reading comprehensive before you post. Now who is owned?

lol. Cal didn’t know the top prospect in the nation and a top 5-10 pick was going to be eligible because, well, high school grades. Cal had no idea the NBA would get that done.

People, gah.

If Sharpe returns it will be the biggest shock to anyone who’s been paying attention for the last 10 years.

Ha...the team wants him to play and you know it. Cal knows it, that's why he acknowledged it. Nice try though. You're so willing to twist yourself into pretzels to avoid the ownage. Deuces, skippy.

You just got caught in a lie trying to support your agenda and got called out for it. Typical response from someone that just got owned.

Then why would any top 25 pick play at all?
I said at "THIS POINT"...meaning 2/3rds of season gone.

By playing, he pretty much can only harm his Draft spot. Plus he's not in prime shape, making him more vulnerable to injuries.

He might not be in shape according to Cal, but I doubt he'd go out there and a) get hurt or b) suck. The kid is an athletic freak and he's been playing ball for months up till now.
