Maybe someone can help me understand why the Unc fans seem to think that one Sankey has it out for them.Secondly why the NCAA will get destroyed if this goes to court. From what I have seen and read the Unc powers that be do not want to testify in open court about their involvement in this scandal especially with penalties for perjury in place.Dont they think that they will be questioned regarding the numerous e-mails about preferential treatment for their players.I know we have some attorneys on this board and would like to know the likelihood that the Unc legal team can keep it solely on whether or not any court case would be strictly about the NCAA not following its own guidelines
unx has had numerous opportunities to protest Sankey's involvement and it's only until recently they have. Why? Why not? Their entire defense for all this is based on re-writing history , semantics , spin , whatever. Might as well throw something else at the wall and see if it sticks. BTW , despite what unx would have us believe , this is
PROPER procedure and this is how its always been done. The COI is made up of personnel from member schools...a "jury of peers" as it were. Now , ya could make the argument that a true independent body should handle these things. Heck , I think most fans would agree with such a policy.
THAT , however , is another discussion for another time and has bupkiss to do with unx's current case. Other schools have been "judged" the exact same way so , for all you tarhole fans reading this , Get. Over. Yourself. Ya ain't special. Why should the glorious "flagship" be evaluated differently than other schools have been in the past? And another thing...it takes a helluva lotta balls to whine about any perceived "conflicts of interests" from Sankey ( or anyone else ) when a unx alum is ACC commish. GFY , tarholes. Seriously. And havin' this go to court? Please. I'm beggin.' The Bethels and Byerz have convinced ya'll the NCAA would be embarrassed should this go in front of a judge. Really? Take Roy and Fed and Sylvia and Crowder and Nyangoro and Boxill and God-knows-who and put 'em sit in a witness booth givin' sworn testimony in open court with a possible perjury charge over their heads. I'd pay money to watch that. "Must-see TV." Lulz.
