Why didn't they just do the finals yesterday? semi's ended early enough to do so.

Have an off feeling about the close weigh-in time to finals time + elbow injury for Spencer against Knox...
When are weigh ins for the final at 3pm?

American wrestling is stronger because it has guys like Desanto, Nato,Wick and more who stick around and keep wrestling. Those suggesting Desanto give up his dream because he hasn't achieved it and may never achieve it are odd. If you have a passion and a dream, you don't stop pushing for it just because you fail. What an odd sentiment within a wrestling community. Wrestling is one of the ultimate "failure is a means to improve" sport in America.
This is, of course, correct. When people tell other competitors to retire, it's the stupidest argument in the sport.

Because you seem to want to defend everyone else any more. Stick to being an agitator regarding wrestling. It's a f'n message Board so stop getting your panties into a bunch when someone makes a snarky comment.
Well those Therapy sessions aren't gonna schedule themselves! (guessing this is one of those auto repeat deals, plus speed-dial situations). Therapist not fat though, just rich.

I got my panties in a bunch?

Weren't some recently lamenting why Iowa doesn't get KD wrestlers?

You guys answer your own questions.

You are not going to convince me that Spencer's poor attitude is conducive to long term success. Some might accuse me of hating but im not. I want the very best for Spencer. I just think that treating anything less than absolute perfection as an utter failure is the recipe for unlocking his potential. I hope the Brands still don't think that sports psychology is a bunch of voodoo cuz Spencer could use it more than anyone.

It might help - but sometimes it is just the way people are wired.

Poor attitude? I think I’m feeding a troll here.

I'm referring to how he behaved after the match. He is really, really hard on himself after losses or performances he isnt happy with. Do you remember his interview after final X last year? Paraphrasing but he said that he wasn't going to medal if he wrestled at worlds like he did against Luke? You are not going to convince me that is a healthy and productive mindset

He has always kind of been a psycho like that though. He has said a hundred times that he wants to be the best in the world. In his mind how can he be the best in the world if he is losing domestic matches or, in this case, giving up points to someone he views as less talented than guys he will have to beat. It can be a lot, but that mentality is what got him to where he is.

You could be right. I used to believe that his attitude was the key to his success but after last year's world championships and then yet another match that he wasn't able to fully close out this year, this time against Luke (although that was probably more due to the elbow) I wonder if his success has come in spite of the attitude. I cant think of another high level athlete that was so unforgiving towards himself but I am young and naive

Mason parris gets choked unconscious and pinned early in the match but rallies back for a 14-11 win over Trumble.
