Wow, I saw some weird stuff after I decided to do this.Nope, ADS has overcome a lot of obstacles, but he's probably gotten as far as his talent and coaching will get him.
He's one tough SOB and a guy to be proud of! He has some very good international wins and I want him representing the U of I in some respect. I just don't think he's going to beat these dudes to make a world/oly team.
That doesn't make him a loser by any means, he's just not as good as them. I'm afraid the same is probably true for another HWC guy who did not show well today.
Austin Desanto has otherworldly grip strength and a proficient dump n’at series, doesn’t like to lose, is rarely out hustled, and is somewhat at best limited against highly skilled (even 1 arm) opponents.
He’s also so courageous! Spencer beat him 15-0 (I think) at PA States their junior year and he decided (without knowledge of any SL injuries that I know of) to challenge the best wrestler in the world and dug deep to win it at the end! That’s my kind of balls!!
