Or maybe Sully if Ace passes up his first chance.1st challenge by om catcher in 1st inning on called ball, confirmed ball. I bet Ace will be first dawg to use a challenge.
I would bet 10 out of 10 times on Ace's eyesight over any ump1st challenge by om catcher in 1st inning on called ball, confirmed ball. I bet Ace will be first dawg to use a challenge.
Grand Slam Mizzou. .265 hitter with 1 homer on the year going into that at bat.
Yep. College baseball pitchers been getting 6 inches on either side of the plate forever and now those can be challenged. In fairness to the UMiss catcher, I'm sure that pitch has been a strike all season. This is not going to be a good tournament for pitchers this week. They umpires are calling it straight.
Gonna be a long day in Hoover. 2 hours in and they're barely halfway through game 1. And there's 3 games after this.7-6 Mizzou now. Bottom 5th, 2 outs. Looks like there's going to a lot of offense today.

Dude is wearing that ump out with ABS lolThe Mizzou catcher should be the ump.
This could be a very embarrassing week for SEC umpires.Did I just hear announcer say Mizz catcher has won 5 straight challenges, dam if so this ump definitely on OM side.
He is definitely making him look bad.Dude is wearing that ump out with ABS lol
6 out of 7. Game changing tbhHe is definitely making him look bad.
He is 7 for 8 correct so far. This could be a very embarrassing week for SEC umpires.
This is true. The catcher has a better view than the umpire and will probably be correct on more challenges. They are set up directly behind the plate, while the umpire is set up over one of his shoulders and his view is not directly straight on, which could lead to missing calls on either the inside or outside edge.I kind of feel for the umpires. The next guy is going to overcompensate, and the batters will have a high win percentage on challenges. The catcher has the best view of all four involved.
