Jasper Johnson is a walking disaster. We would have been up 20 if his *** was permanently parked on the bench.
Not his fault. He never should have been recruited here. He’s a mid major talent at best. And a small one at that.

They haven't beaten anyone. I don't think some have looked at the actual teams they have played.

Yeah and not only that but the schedule they did play, they didn't really dominate. Like it's one thing to play a crap schedule but then if you play a crap schedule you better hammer some of these teams.

They didn't.

They weren't even the best team in that conference IMO.

10 assists and only 4 TO, Mizzou w/ 3 assist and 7 TO. Out rebounded them to boot.... we're only 2 for 11 oin three's ... and we got a nine point lead at half.

I *think* we can take that. We *should* put the hammer down coming out the first 5 minutes of the second half and bury them. Show some killer instinct hopefully. Be smart about it. But they also seem to not be able to make it easier on themselves.

Then there's Pat freaking Adams and his crew out there.....

Let's beat them 5 v 8 next half. That is all.

Go Big Blue !

Most likely they took a dive to get the MAC a second bid. Money talks

OK cool, I was thinking the same thought too, so I am NOT crazy.

What I anticipate and hope for the 2nd half: Withstand the inevitable Mizz run, push the lead back out to 7-9 points around the 6min. mark, and take care of the ball and make FTs to finish it out.

I want to believe in JJ but he makes it really difficult.
In the current day of the transfer portal I actually hope he leaves. I believe we can get better from the portal and he is still another year away from being a contributor. Never thought I’d say that but that’s the current landscape of college ball.

Maybe, maybe he needs to light into his *** on the bench after a stupid, boneheaded, selfish play.
In that moment, I certainly agree. Still, the real blame falls on Pope because 1.) this is how Jasper has played every single game all season so Pope knows what to expect and 2.) Pope insists on playing him despite #1.

JJ is weak mentally and physically. I thought he would be good, not great. But he is worse than could have ever imagined.

Hate to break it to you but the so called "portal" is garbage. You're getting a bunch of C grade malcontents that if they were any good they'd be either staying with their current teams or going to the pros. Case in point jasper johnson

Is it isolated to JJ or can Pope not command the respect to get him to play within the system? Oweh definitely goes into his “get mine” mode with 3 point shots and bad drives when someone else is having a good game.

Sorry to say but Jasper is a liability. Every decision he makes is a bad one, it seems, a step slow and can't shoot and stays outside the 3-point line, waiting for a pass. I would rather see Noah get his minutes.

They all do. I don't mind JJ's last shot. Shot clock was winding down, it's not like there was 30 seconds on the clock. But he probably needs to sit the rest of this one out.

Id be curious what our free throw disparity is for the year.. sure seems like every game I look, Kentucky has more fouls than the opponent.

Naturally we give up a 3 to end the half. And yesterday, that foul on Johnson’s head was a flagrant 1. Smfh
That’s right, Kentucky is the first team to not get that call. Like you said that has been a flagrant all throughout the SEC tournament until that play today. Of course spat Adams was involved, the official grading today’s games need to flag his a— on that because his history says he’s the one who didn’t think it was!

Folks piss and moan about being down early, we get up and people whine its not enough. What miserable people you are
Our fanbase, or certainly whatever of it exists on this forum, is 99% insufferable. Win, lose, whatever...this board is basically negative all the time now. I get it...this season has sucked...but give it a rest after a win.

While I don’t think Pope uses him or coaches him appropriately, he has to play him.

Jasper should know by now what he should be doing, that’s on him.

We shall see. Plenty of top teams main guys came from the portal. There will be plenty far better than JJ to pick from.

Was I imagining things or did the horn go off during Missouri's shot just now ?
