Might have trouble finding one team only for a foundation game. May be easier to go across the West Va side and join 2 or 3 other teams in an already scheduled scrimmage with 2 or 3 teams involved and see if they will add Graham to it.Graham high school is looking for a scrimmage or benefit game the weekend of August 21 — they had a last minute cancellation from Woodrow Wilson . Teams are not driving 4.5 hours for a benefit game — sorry.. Graham tried to get a game with Glenvar and Blacksburg and both said no .. soWould’ve been cool to see Graham/Dinwiddie do a benefit game.
Not necessarily true. Coach Mills is from far SWVA and Graham is that area’s powerhouse. I’m just thinking out loud. Would be good competition for the young Generals. Dinwiddie is actually going to Virginia Beach to scrimmage Green Run and Oscar Smith and then a 3 hour trip to Battlefield the next week.Teams are not driving 4.5 hours for a benefit game — sorry.. I dont hate the idea - I get tired of seeing swva teams being left out of statewide polls and top player lists- I wish the teams from both ends of the state could play more . However it is not feasible to drive 4-5 hours for an hour scrimmage especially when Charlotte and Greensboro are 2-3 hours drive south. Also there is some solid East Tennessee teams a few hours away . I’m all for the kids and small schools getting more recognition. Not necessarily true. Why would there be a need for you or anyone to apologize? I don't understand. Please clarify.Teams are not driving 4.5 hours for a benefit game — sorry.
There's also quality Eastern Kentucky teams and Southern and Central West Va teams availableI dont hate the idea - I get tired of seeing swva teams being left out of statewide polls and top player lists- I wish the teams from both ends of the state could play more . I'm a fan of true home games and I really don't care for neutral site games.I dont hate the idea - I get tired of seeing swva teams being left out of statewide polls and top player lists- I wish the teams from both ends of the state could play more . Love this! We should encourage more wackiness like this!If you like "exotic" matchups, William Fleming and Union have agreed to a home & home for the 2027-28 cycle.
From field to field, that's around a 3 hr 20 minute drive.
