Ok overhead view shows the ball half to three quarters over the cylinder, thats a FACT

Its also a FACT that play didnt cost us the game. We did not play to the level we had been playing, still were up 9 and pissed it away. Missed too many free throws and got beat at our own game, they ate the offensive glass
Actually, that play 100% cost us the game. The fact that we played poorly is immaterial to the fact LSU actually won the game on a blown call. That’s a fact.

Hagans/Quickley **** the bed

Hagans - 4 points, 0 free throws, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 0 turnovers
Quickley - 3 points, 0 free throws, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 turnovers
Not even gonna hate on Quickley tonight. He was terrific on defense the entire game.

For all you f—-king morons that keep saying it was goal tending on EJ Montgomery you do not know the rule. Seth Greenburg and Jay Williams clearly explained that since EJ ‘s hand was through the net before Waters put the shot up on the rim, it is not defensive goal tending. Both Jay and Seth said the ball was clearly on the rim and was without question offensive goal tending!!!!!!’n

Calm down. EJ's hand got caught in the net and he made the rim move with the impact. When the ball hit the rim, you can see the backboard moving. Ease up on the name calling. It's a regular season loss. The world will keep spinning tomorrow.

Yeah, by rule that is NOT defensive goaltending. Read the rules.

Is the game that play? Or is the game 40 minutes? Are you saying the previous 39 minutes and 59 seconds are irrelevant untill that call? Which by the way was offensive basket interference .You can't depend on others to be successful .They had their chances! They failed and lost as a team.

When up until that point the teams have played to a draw, yes.

That charges me up more than the non reviewable goaltend call bc it coulda shoulda been reviewed

LSU was given the win with the non-call of basket interference, but the player did not even come close to stepping out of bounds. Watch a replay. That photo must have been taken at an angle where the scorers table seems to be the court, but it is not. The guys foot is not within 2 feet of the sideline.

Classic case of nothing will be done to reprimand the officals. In all reality Joe Lindsay, Tony Green, and the third official should be suspended and not allowed on a floor for a very long time. Inexcusable to miss that.

Also it's very suspect they only had 4 fouls until 6 seconds to go. Welcome to ****** SEC officials ruining the game one game time at a time.
I’m sure they’ll put LSU in your bracket now

You'll still have idiots on here saying it wasn't a goaltend.
Idiots or not, I wish everyone yelling goaltending would read the rules. Number 1, it wasn't goaltending because the rules state that only a defensive player can goaltend. The only possible goaltend was Montgomery's arm through the net and basket immediately before the non-call being disputed. In the ref's judgement Montgomery's action did not cause the rim to move or vibrate so it was not goaltending. Whether or not forcefully moving the net has no effect on the rim is not for me to say, but Newton's third law makes it appear unlikely. Number 2, the LSU player certainly appeared to have committed basket interference (not goaltending) based on the replay angle from above the rim. But, the ref didn't have a view from that angle until the game clock review and could not legally call basket interference at that point. Calling the refs crook or worse is sour grapes and ignores reality.

It would be called offensive goaltending (like it should be because it was) for Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee (This year), etc etc. especially on their home courts..convince me otherwise.
