We got punked in the 2nd half. Relied too much on PJ who dang near carried us to the win. The ball appeared to be in the cylinder but..we had 3 players go for the block leaving Williams alone for the tip. EJ left his man..tough loss..gotta move on and get ready for the Vols..we cant let one loss turn into two..
I like the Cats play better on the road when they have everyone in the arena against them since they will never get favorable calls at home anyway. Push offs on rebounds all night long on LSU but reffs won't call them all. On to the next one.

The refs made the right call . The ball bounced off the rim and was outside the cylinder (which can't be reviewed). It was obvious that the put back beat the clock.
It is the correct call in the sense that they cannot review the goaltend, only the shot/game clock...but they missed the goaltend...therefore they made an incorrect call and correctly reviewed their incorrect call.
Can't fix stupid with some of the posters here that don't understand the very simple concept that you cannot touch the ball while it is IN the cylinder.

The refs missed goaltending on UK and LSU. Basket should have counted when Montgomery put his hand through the net, leaving a second or so on the clock. Tough way to lose though
The cylinder is an imaginary cylinder that goes above the rim and if any part of the ball is in that it’s goaltending. They missed the call

The rule obviously needs to be changed if the officiated it correctly. You cant have replay and see that you clearly missed the call and just ignore that and credit the other team with a score you know in good faith they didnt get, most especially when it falsely decides the outcome of the game.

Go get someone to slowly read the rule on basket interference to you and pay particular attention to the part about where the ball is. It's not necessarily a violation just because someone's hand goes in the net.
Classic case of nothing will be done to reprimand the officals. In all reality Joe Lindsay, Tony Green, and the third official should be suspended and not allowed on a floor for a very long time. Inexcusable to miss that.

You are wrong. E.J.’s hand through the net was NOT defensive goaltending. It’s only goal tending in that instance if the ball was on the rim or you grab the rim. The ball wasn’t close to the rim and he didn’t touch the rim. They even said so on ESPN.

Seth Greenburg and Jay Williams clearly explained that since EJ ‘s hand was through the net before Waters put the shot up on the rim, it is not defensive goal tending. Both Jay and Seth said the ball was clearly on the rim and was without question offensive goal tending!!!!!!’n

Because where do you stop reviewing? The obvious offensive goaltend?... the immediately prior defensive goaltend? the possible foul on the drive? the walk on the drive? the carry/double-dribble all the way down court? etc, etc, etc....
