You mean the Kentucky hating media. They may be right but I don’t believe anything they saySeems unlikely he'll get a waiver according to most of the College Basketball media guys on twitter.

You mean the college basketball media guys that hate UK? Screw them.Seems unlikely he'll get a waiver according to most of the College Basketball media guys on twitter.
With the covid and the coach being fired. I think these are unprecedented times and he'll be eligible. I hope I'm right.
went for 30 and 17 against notre dame.
Unfortunately, neither of those are valid reasons to grant a waiver for immediate eligibility.
The only way COVID would come into play for a waiver is if:
The other issue is that Sarr has stated in interviews that he’s transferring because of athletics reasons (i.e., he thinks UK is a better fit for his basketball aspirations).
- Some schools decided to play this next season while other schools didn’t, and this caused kids at some schools to be deprived of the opportunity to play
- Or, if someone in the player’s family caught COVID and was left with long term health problems because of it, so the player was transferring to be closer to home
Not the Daffy Duck gif I expected to see.Cal has risen again to be down by the creek walking on water...[smoke]

Great news! We may have to wait a season to see him play for us, however. I'll never trust the NCAA to do something beneficial for us
I've had those thoughts, as well. After Kanter, I'll never assume anything. And he very well may go overseas if the waiver is denied. You will not see him play at UK in a year. if he gets denied, he has all ready stated, he will NOT sit out a year, he will play over seas.
Honest question, I have read a lot of people saying "Covid19, he will get approved". What exactly does the pandemic got to do with a basketball player transferring ? Does his current school put him at risk more so than another ? I do not think the Covid has any baring on a decision to approve or not. Now his coach talking him out of going pro then getting fired may. I hope the kid gets the waiver, he is the missing piece. And with the whole paying the kids now, it is suppose to be whats best for the player, IF Sarr feels UK is better suited for him and will help him, why not let him go ??? Cal is no dummy, he has done some homework on this, I do not think he plans by "maybe's" and "hopes".
Well, before you get too confident, you might consider this:Cal knows way more than any of us and I don’t Cal would’ve went thru all this to get a kid then turn around and have him leave in a few months. Just saying if Cal got him to commit then prolly a good chance he will be cleared to play.
pretty wild for a UK fan to paste this all over any Sarr hype, let the fanbase be happy and get back to the wake board (does that exist?)Well, before you get too confident, you might consider this:
Oh they will be, just not in picture form.I am so glad there are no penises in this thread.
Yet.
Thanks for that information. It helps, but that was not the primary reason Baker and Green got a waiver. The special circumstances that got Baker his waiver were that he'd already been forced to sit out an entire season with injury, and Green only got a one semester season waiver and also had already sat out nearly the enitre prior season. Those circumstances don't apply to Sarr.
Well, before you get too confident, you might consider this:
hmmm. Not exactly optimistic about that....Here’s hoping UK’s athletic department can get really creative and that they can get Wake’s athletic department to tell the same story. Will need a tightly coordinated effort on this.
