I would like to see the paint fed early in the second half.

Draw some fouls, slow things down fouls and give players a breath. Give Purdue some more fouls.

Carter time. Get the kid the ball.

5-10 from 3 is pretty sick for us but Baker needs to get involved more in the offense.

it really sucks that Eugene is out because it really takes us out of these games in the end. The big positive is Mathis is growing exponentially

We should not be trying to run with these guys. I mentioned in the prediction thread that running may help Mathis and Harper score more, but we’ll get buried by Purdue’s offense by giving them more shot attempts.

Think of it this way, every other B1G team has better shooters than us, so why give them more shots?

Playing at Purdue is by far the conference game I hate the most. If you don’t hit 70% of your shots you almost have no chance
It took us 6 years to play the worst team of northwestern in football but it seems like we play @ Purdue every year in hoops

I almost always say turnovers are a sign of bad coaching, but not in this case. We simply don't have a real point guard, which is typically where our turnovers come from.
Baker is too lose and street for this league. Don't see any good guards who dribble and pass weak and without purpose.
Want to see strong? Look at Mathis.

Too many turnovers and not enough consistent scoring results in a 40-30 half time score.Mathis really impressive with the 3 pointers and floaters on drives to the basket.Refs missed calling goal tending on Kiss layup and Rutgers isn't getting fouls called against Purdue post players.Rutgers had open 3 point shots that were missed .Hard to win on the road when Rutgers struggles to even score 65 points against league opponents.

Purdue is playing the NY Knicks old style of foul every play because the refs won't call every one of them. How many points are the refs going to let Purdue steal from Rutgers? Kiss' shot should have been goaltending.
This has a secondary effect. The team not being called plays looser and more aggressive once they have been emboldened. On the other hand, once you get a call or two against you you’ve become tentative on defense.

Was out and about so listened to the first half and am now home watching. Easy game when you can shoot. Will we ever have great shooters like so many other teams seem to have? For a few games, it looked like we might, but then reality set in.

Shooter, what do ya know. Bunch of farm boys just chucking it up and goes in. When will Rutgers ever try this strategy. Shooters in basket-ball, what a concept

Purdue makes 3 pointers like they were layups and Rutgers flounders on offense.Purdue leads 49-35.

our fans get giddy because a players make a shot or two...at other schools making shots is the norm..they have expectations to score alot...at RU its a party to hit 70.

we will need legit 3 pt threats brought in for the next two years...its mandatory....no excuses

I didn't think we would come close in this game so not really disappointed. More shocked at how Purdue has lost a game this season. They are the most impressive B1G team I watch every single year for the last 3 years.

This, and I don't get how he hits the front of the rim coming out of the half like he has no legs yet again
Because he is always stepping back to shoot. His hurky jerky style will never generate game over game consistency. That is why he is so hot and cold. Rarely going towards the basket.

this is the best Ive seen them this year, they have not played like this but seem to be gelling lately....the win over Wisconsin was a big boost for them on the road.

I think its more of a case of RU not making any shots is playing right into Purdues gameplan

Can talk about a lot of aspects of the game but what really matters is shooting. In today's game you need 3 point shooters and lots of them
