This is the difference between Rutgers and Michigan

We punt on 4th and 1 on the opponents 41, Michigan goes for it on Their 41 because they know our offense can't move the ball

Point is, until our offense shows it deserves some respect, opposing offenses can take unnecessary risks and keep our defense on the field far longer than it should be. Same thing happened versus Purdue but we dodged a bullet

That blitz by #21 on that run was awful. The right play was called and he didn't run at the rb.

Defense is exhausted. What a shame to have a solid D with a struggling O
I'm sure that might happen over the course of the game but they were running on us right from the first series. That was my worry just coming into the game and if we could be physical enough with them. Their drives were stalled by going to the air.

It's also why I wasn't expecting a blowout of last year's size. They don't have a qb and they need to rely heavily on the run.

Even if he actually made it, which I don't think he did (and I thought the 3rd down spot was a foot short, so I'm not just being a homer), I simply can't understand reviewing that 3rd down and the almost TD and not that 4th down.

Because it’s inexplainable

If I am Harbaugh, I am going for everything that us 2 yards or under and anywhere near midfield.

He's sees our offense.

Well it's game 8 and our refusal to blitz often is the same. Purdue and Indiana kept it close on D because they BLITZED the sh*t out of them. But we're not going to follow that blueprint.

I'd like to see Ash give the refs the business on one of these. Zero reason to review the two plays that were plain as day. Inexcusable to not look at the 4th down stop.

The spot wasn't generous but Hester needs to breakdown and make a better play on Isaac . Slow him down just a tad and doesn't to 18 1/2 yards . That led to the drive

Exactly. He has to know the situation. A tackle in the backfield isn't necessary. Slowing him up and allowing the pursuit was what was needed.

73 is lining up in the neutral zone. The refs are playing 3 blind mice. That's inexcusable.
