A better team breaks up or picks that pass off. That being said I'm glad Patton made a play on a badly thrown ball.

God this offensive scheme is so tantalizing. The potential is there to light up the scoreboard, but we don't have the right personnel. If we had a true dual threat runnin the show, then I really see us putting up some points. A dual threat running an up tempo spread is a great formula

We have a dual threat.. He is a threat to fumble or get picked off

MULTIPLE interceptions that drive against any decent secondary. Most of his throws were just terrible...

btw is that Ray Lucas on BTN. Sounds like it.

Are you out of your mind?? NO ONE will convince me Howard has more talent than Rutgers. I don't care how badly Flood recruited, the talent isn't even close. The is a battle because the coaching stinks.
Nobody said Howard has MORE talent. When we were up 0-3 at halftime against Texas Southern all those years ago, we weren't calling it coaching but we knew we had a bad team.

Listening on the radio it sound like the problems are:

1. The DB's
2. The OL (surprising because outside of Lumpkin this is last year's group)
3. Laviano not dealing with the pressure well

Thank God for Grant

man , you think anyone can coach them down this bad?
are you kidding, what team are you watching? This is not a well coached team. Even the tackling, when they do, is up high on the pads!!!!!!

just stop

Now the new one is that Howard has more speed and MD is more talented...lol...this board is getting fun again.

the 'talent is substandard' crowd are suffering from a mental dislocation because no one wants to admit it looks like we've got a dud in a hire and are stuck with him

tackling
preparation
scheme (how many times do I have to watch 3 down lineman rush and ntey still complete a pass
receivers are not running crisp routes
lineman are not getting under the shoulders
I could go on......Floods teams didn't make so many fundamental mistakes and I couldn't stand Flood

So far, in the past two weeks, we've two teams get to the outside on the D with relative ease.......

That is coaching and not talent
that is the scheme, and not the talent

We did not suffer this under Flood except in the OSU game. Way to many outside runs past two weeks

That throw to Grant in the end zone should've been into the end zone, not at the goal line. Grant had two steps on his man.

Now Laviano trying to make things happen and loses a ton of yards. How he is the starter if he doesn't have the physical tools and still makes a ton of mental mistakes?
