I did notice a lot more tix were available on ticketmaster today than the previous weeks I checked. I scooped some great seats in 116. The school definitely needs to push the word to buy tickets within the next 3 weeks.

At the very least RU gotta give discounted tickets/shuttle. Students paying 100$ for a game usually seen for free? Hard sell even when we're good.

I'm not sure how much Rutgers can do given that it's a Michigan home game BUT I do find it weird that the Big Ten insists on doing this every year but doesn't promote it at all. Last year's Maryland-Illinois game got about 7,000.
I was thinking the same thing. Why is this board the only place I have heard anything about this game? No promotion at all.

that is just not true. And I say that as a Michigan fan that attended the game because I happened to be in the city that night.

Bro, I was there as well. Even your comment about "happened to be in the city that night" smacks of condescension. Shows you didn't plan on attending the game but simply happened upon it. All I know is that the Michigan fans near us were pussies and had to move at halftime because they didn't like hearing that Herve was too quick for Michigan. You dope. RU students trained in and were loud. You aren't very bright are you now? Just asking little dude.

I assume if you were there you would be old enough to be a little more mature, but I guessed wrong.

I "happened" to be there because I lived in Ann Arbor and had planned a trip to NYC 3 months earlier to visit a friend. Certainly wasn't worrying about the possibility we would make the NIT and then play in the final when I booked airfare. Was in town so went to the game.

I'm laughing at the idea that Michigan fans were surprised there were Rutgers fans in attendance. It was a disappointing season for Michigan and nobody cared about the NIT, so nobody would have expected many Michigan fans to be there nor would anybody be surprised that some drunk Rutgers students could take a train to the arena and fill it up.

If that gets your panties in a wad, well that says something about you as a person.

You lack reading comprehension Blockhead. My point was that the Michigan "fans" who deigned to grace us with their presence were shocked that RU Nation dominated the venue. That was my point you tool. Now climb back under that rock and continue to feel like a "Michigan Boy". Chuckle.

Blockhead thinks he's an elite Michigan boy for the basketball school that cheats & the football team that can't win a big game despite doing anything to win.
RU fans will dominate there home game & blow out Michigan

I walked over to the ticket office window and asked when tickets were being mailed. They said mid January. Then I asked what seats I earned and they gave me the info with no problem. Call the ticket office and ask.
Thanks for letting me know. Called and got our seat location 3rd row in section 10 on the aisle toward center court. Great seats for me as my bladder is about the size of a 4 yr. old boy. We'll be close and loud.

Also anyone know how I can send a couple RU kids to the game for $15 bucks? Willing to do this just don't know how as the site is a pain in the *** to navigate. Also I looked and couldn't find anything about this on the site.

In case anyone needs to tickets, Ticketmaster released $35 seats(46 after fees) behind the basket. Just bought 8.

Ha ha. I am also in section 10, row 2 but at the baseline not center court. We can get a great R U chant going.

Someone in the Athletic Dept. should set up a link for people to donate money to provide free tix to students for this game and not limit it to season's ticket holders. I live in AZ now but recall a movement begun by the then governor of NJ to provide funds for students wanting to travel to the Insight Bowl here in AZ. Obviously I don't have season's tix because I live in Tucson but there should be a simple way for me, and perhaps hundreds of other RU fans to contribute to a fund to give free tix to RU students for what is shaping up to be a very big game for us.

The link provided far above seemed only to be available to season's tix holders.

Thank you.

Tickets on the msg site behind the baskets are 35 plus fees. Ends up being 93 for a pair. Very reasonable.

Bought 5 in corner 114 mid-section last night for 55 plus fees = 72 each. Anyone know if there will be a Rutgers bar in the city to pregame at? We're planning to hit American Whiskey for a bit if they are open, but wondering if there is a NYC Rutgers Club event.

The wrestling match is at 1 pm and the basketball game is at 4:30. Does anyone know if you are allowed to leave the building between events?

You are not. And, there will be limited concessions operating. Same thing that happened in Toronto.

Stopped at the Garden Box Office yesterday and picked up 2 tickets for $100 each in section 107. On stubhub the same tickets wer over $250 plus service charge per ticket. If you can, I would just go to the MSG box office and pick up tickets there, save on the service charge fee.

Usually the outside vendor type concessions don't like opening up if only half the building is open
That's right. The staples will be open, the unique options, that make playing in an NBA venue special, will most likely not be open. Beer sales should be open.

Trying to get a group together for the event. Notsure when we'll get there, but definitely for the basketball game. I'd like to see the wrestling, but not sure if my friends are into that. Even if they are, I think they're more into getting drunk in the city.

Looking to go and see tickets are still available on Stub Hub. Just briefly glanced through the comments here, so excuse me if this question has been answered... Can you skip the wrestling and just go for the bball game?!
Yes. Your ticket gets you admission to both. But you can certainly show up after the wrestling match and just go to the 4:30 basketball game. (If you want, you can even show up around 5:30, if you only want to watch the second half of the basketball game.)

I was hoping you could leave between the wresting and basketball events. I think the wrestling takes about 2 hours, so it would be done by 3, and then there would be 1.5 hours of dead time until the basketball game starts at 4:30.

Ok, thanks..I'd think you can leave in between hopefully ??? If we do go for the wrestling I'd like to run and grab some food before the basketball game.

From what I understand, you cannot leave. There will be a long break between wrestling and hoops. Just hang out with RU fans at the seats.

Unfortunately, you can't leave and reenter the venue. For those interested, overpriced food and beverages will be available inside MSG between the match and the game.

Hang with the RU fans. There are worse things. We will be pumped up if RU upsets Mich in wrestling.

Should be something like Wreslting at 1-3, b-ball at 7. Chance to go out and grab dinner between. Would have made to much sense (and probably less money)
