Geo has the best bball IQ for a guard I've seen at Rutgers in a long time. Very polished and smart. Just has to her his confidence and that shot is going to keep falling. He's very important for the future.

Yup. Very smart player.

Except for that last three pointer by Sanders, every single one of his outside shots are low liners and hit the front rim. He looks constipated when he shoots.

Surprised how long Pike left the starters in tonight, especially being the 3rd game in 5 days. Cleveland State is one of the worst shooting teams I have ever seen.

Corey did a very nice job on the boards and with several assists. IF he just plays within his athletic self and doesn't force things he is SO much more valuable out there.
I assume he also got spoken to at halftime.

It's funny how about 80% of the posts in this thread were negative for a guy who had 13 pts, 10rbs and 6 assists..

if that was Mike Williams stat line there would be a jizzfest
those comments were mostly in/after the 1st half when his stats weren't like that. You even heard Wentzel comment two times about him....."scorer but not a great shooter" and "corey pushes the ball and makes some good things happen, and some bad things happen".

That's just how Game Threads go......critical on bad plays or when the team is not playing well......they disappear when they are playing good ball.

maybe perhaps we're watching the games and making comments at halftime and then end game? tale of 2 halves here.

I'm referring to the guys commenting thru out the game....as soon as the lead hit 18 they disappeared because there was nothing negative to talk about.

Baker- 7 assists and 0 turnovers and he found his stroke. Beautiful.

What a defensive effort. That was a fun game to be a part of.

Baker doesn't seem to dribble into trouble the way Corey does. He really had a nice assist to Corey for the easy finish--maybe they ought to swap positions in these setup games, and see how Corey does at the 2. Baker is that poised for a freshman that he could flourish at PG. Big 2's would be a problem, but Corey might be a better shooter if he didn't have primary ball handling responsibilities but was getting open looks from Baker. Baker looked confident out there, granted, against no real opposition, and did well in the post-game interview.

On the RU side of the court behind the basket, there was 1 fan who was in to the game and stood up for good RU plays and baskets. He was in the last row.

Kudos to him, the other fans around him were zombies.

Offense approach is odd - no inside passing - tossing around the perimeter and then chucking it up. Odd. They showed more in past games . . .
Opponent was playing a zone defense most of the game which resulted in the perimeter passing.

This was before they went into zone, I think - first 10 min of first half. I could be mistaken tho . . .
