He's a basketball player. Not a saint. I don't know what was said. But I know I'd believe it alot more had the insult not grown to family and race only overnight

Both parties are wrong, but Westbrook went waaaaay over the top. Dude was being a jerk, but you never threaten to beat a woman, especially when she isn’t using physical actions or even saying anything to you!
Fan was out of line and should’ve been asked to leave if he wouldn’t shut up.

But Westbrook should’ve shrugged it off. I mean he’s a paid professional millionaire. Is it really worth bad press and a potential altercation (which would lead to fines and suspension?). You make mega millions and are one of the games best players. Laugh it off dude and don’t take yourself so seriously. Ignore his butt and have a nice evening back at your mansion while he’s arguing with his wife back home.

He would’ve shown he was the bigger man by just walking away and flat out ignoring it.

Seeing the fans twitter account, which is now deleted. He's a total POS. Tons of racial and homophobic rants. Fans can't just yell personal attacks at player with impunity. I'm fine with Westbrook clapping back. That fan deserved it. His interview after the game was 100% disingenuous. All ya'll just jumping on Westbrook don't know what was said. Everyone is just overreacting.

It's good to see that somebody understands that this "dick" who was yelling stuff to Westbrook is a complete POS. I only wish the guy would have run on the court, like the British soccer guy. That would give them free reign to beat his punk a$$

Agree-talk to the dude, threaten him or whatever and I don’t care. Bringing the female into it and threatening her takes it to a different level. He deflected by stating the dudes comments were racist. All of us know that they weren’t racist comments, homophobic yes, but not racist. what has he done in the past to assume he is a liar? There was nothing but the highest praise for his character while at UK. When I was at school at UK, I knew a few of the athletes and can call their character into issue on certain subjects. If you have some news, spill it.

Absolutely he played the race card to try and get out of what he did and of course, it worked. It’s a learned behavior to try this tactic early on. They know everyone is terrified of being called “racist” and will bow down to it.

Someone's athletic background has nothing to do with their propensity to tell the truth.

Your opinion, I haven't seen it, back 30 years ago things were not so politically correct, I have personally seen much worse than that. I was in Philly for a baseball game and the Giants outfielders were berated with all kinds of nasty insults, no holding back. Hell today in Europe a black soccer player will hear stuff that is 20 times nastier than that idiot that got banned. Is their still racism yes, and I have seen it go the other way. Me and another soldier were asked to leave a KFC in East St. Louis because I was white and he was brown, we did not fit and they told us to get our food and leave. This was 1992, so people need to learn to get along and drop their hatred.
