When I was a kid, listening to Cawood call games with Issel, Pratt, Casey, Riley, Dampier, etc... I became accustomed to high scoring games (especially Issel's teams) and regularly flogging opponents. While they had some close games, there were lots of blow-outs. IMO, Ky should always have its way with SEC teams. Reality says this is not the case, but it's still ingrained in me. It's hard to get excited about a 5-10 point win in which your team only scores in the 60's or 70's. One of the last games I attended was something like a 64-58 beat down of Georgia....fifteen /twenty years ago. Place was like a morgue.
I wonder if lots of the older fans in the lower seats feel the same.
As an older fan there are some things that are ingrained on the bball portion of my psyche:
We should never score fewer than 85 pts;
We should always beat teams like uga, fla, vandy,...basically any SEC team with ease.
