So how many fouls then?If a lineman jumps off sides 3 times is he out of the game? Why count fouls? What’s the point. Especially when 2-3 fouls are usually touch fouls

Unlimited if we are talking about fouling out of the game. If you want to give them 2 free throws and ball on the 6th foul fine. Only way you should be out of a game is for fighting or a deliberate foul that hurts a player. So how many fouls then?
that happened to reeves on his drive, the walker kid just slide underneath him while he was in the airThis. If a "defender" is just sliding into place underneath an offensive player, that isn't defense and should never be rewarded (forget the dumb semi-circle, this should apply everywhere on the court). If you're playing tight defense and get elbowed, sure. But the maneuvers to specifically "draw a charge" are complete ********.
Thats where I thought you were going but don’t see this ever being implemented.Unlimited if we are talking about fouling out of the game. I agree with you but there are still cases where I could potentially see a secondary defender entitled to position and not getting shouldered to the ground. Unfortunately it will always be a judgement call. How is that complicated? If you beat the first line of defense, a guy can't just stand there and take a charge.
I dislike the short shot clock imo.Do away with the 3 second call
8 fouls
14 second shot clock
There's a big unintended consequence here. If I drive from the top of the key and beat my man but the opponent's center was already between me and the basket, he now has to move out of my way, or else I can run into him and get a block? I'd much prefer a rewrite/clarification of the rule as written. The easy answer to this imo is that only the primary defender can draw a charge. A secondary defender after you beat your man cannot.
And rule as written, the defender must be in legal guarding position (two feet on the floor and torso facing the guarded player) before the guarded player leaves the court. So by rule your torso can be sliding sideways, but you have to have your feet in the spot and torso facing the player before he jumps. As officiated, you can jump under a player in the air.Tha

I say no disqualification. At 5th foul and subsequent fouls, the fouling team can choose to give technical FTs and possession of the ball to the opponent.5 fouls. Worst rule in college basketball
Wrong. Players would just foil more because they could. Games would be more like Big 10 FT contests.Because players should determine the game outcome not Rooferee's.
